Thefollowing information will help you choose cookware which will give good performance on glass cooktops.
Checkpans for flat bottoms by
usinga straight edge.
Pans with rounded, curved, ridged
or warped bottoms are not
recommended.

Aluminum:
heavyweight pans recommended
Good conducfidb'. Muminun_ residue
sometimes appea_ as scratches on the
cooktop but can be removed if cleaned
immediately: Because of its low melting
point, thin weight aluminum should not
be used,
Copper:
recommended
CopperBottoms:
usable, but not recommended
Pans with copper bottoms may leave
residue appearing as scratches. Remove
any residue ilmllediatelv alter use. Do not
let a pot boil (h_'. Overheated metal can
bond to the glass cooktop and leave a
pemmnent stain if it is not removed
immediatelv.
Porcelain Enamel-CoveredCastIron:
recommended
_&s long as the cookware is covered
completely with porcelain enam el, this
cookware is recommended. Caution is
recoilli//ended ti)r C_lSt-ii'on cookware
that is not completely covered with
smooth porcelain enamel, since it may
scratch the glass ceramic cooktop.
Glass-Ceramic:
usable,butnotrecommended
Poor periimnance. May scratch the

Stoneware:

Use pans that match the diameter of the
surfilce elelnent. (_ooking pe_fimnance
will not be as good if the cookware is
either smaller or larger than the
surti_ce element.
Do not placewet pans
on the glass cooktop.
Do not use woks with support
rings Onthe glass cooktop
For Best Results
Place only (h w pans on the surii_ce
elements. Do not place lids on the
sm_fhce elements, particularly wet lids.
Do not rise woks that have supI)ort
rings. This _ipe of wok will not heat on
glass surfi_ce elements.
We recommend that you use only a
fiat-bottomed wok. They are available
at yore" local retail store. The bottom
of the wok should have the same
diameter as the stwlilce element
to enstli'e l)rol)er contact.
Some special cooking procedm'es
require spedfic cookware such as
pressm'e cooke_s, deep tat ti3'e_s, etc.
M1 cookware must have fiat bottoms
and be the correct size.
