3. Load the coil of nails: Place the coil of nails over the post in the canister. Uncoil enough nails to reach the
feed pawl. Place the first nail in front of the front tooth on the feed pawl, in the driver channel. The nail heads
must be in the slot in the nose.
4. Swing cover closed.
5. Close the door: Check that latch engages. (If it does not engage, check that the nail heads are in the slot
on the nose.)
NOTE: Use only nails recommended for use in BOSTITCH Framing nailers or nails which meet the BOSTITCH
specifications.
FASTENER DEPTH CONTROL ADJUSTMENT
The Fastener Depth Control Adjustment feature provides control of the

TO ADJUST THE FASTENER DEPTH CONTROL:
Disconnect tool from air supply before attempting
any parts disassembly and before changing the work

Rotate depth control wheel to give the desired depth of drive.
REMOVING NAILS
1. Disconnect the air supply from the tool.
2. Open the canister: Pull down door latch and swing door/canister cover outward.
3. Remove nails from canister.
4. If nail is jammed between the driver and nose casting force driver blade back to the top using a 1/4"
(6.4mm) punch and hammer. When the nail is released it will fall free or can be removed usingpliers.
5. If nail still can not be removed, remove the canister:
a. Remove nut and bolt.
b. Remove canister.
c. Remove bent nail.
6. Reassemble in reverse order.
