8 Intended use
Intended use
■ This appliance is intended for private domestic use only.
■ Do not install or operate this appliance anywhere that is liable to experience frost and/or outdoor conditions. There is a risk that the appliance will be damaged if residual water in it freezes. If hoses freeze up, they may crack/burst.
■ This appliance must only be used for washing domestic laundry, consisting of machine-washable items and hand- washable woollens (see label on item). Using the appliance for any other purpose is outside of the scope of its intended application and...
■ This appliance is suitable for operation with mains water and commercially available detergents and care products (must be suitable for use in washing machines).
■ This appliance is intended for use up to a maximum height of 4000 metres above sea level.
Before you switch on the appliance:
Check that there is no visible damage to the appliance. Do not operate the appliance if it is damaged. Should you have any problems, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service.
Read and follow the operating and installation instructions and all other information provided with this appliance.
Retain the documents for subsequent use or for subsequent owners.

Tips on economical use
■ Always fill the appliance with the maximum amount of laundry for each programme.
■ Wash normally soiled laundry without pretreating.
■ For light and normal soiling in laundry, you can save energy and detergent.
■ The selectable temperatures apply to the care labels on the textiles. The temperatures in the appliance may deviate from this so that you get the optimum mix of energy-saving and washing results.

This appliance is secured with a foam block, which has to be removed before using the appliance for the first time. If in doubt, please contact specialist.

1. Take the hoses out of the holders.
2. Unscrew and remove all four transport brace screws.
a) Remove the mains cable from the holders.
b) Remove the sleeves.
3. Fit the covers.
4. Lock the covers firmly in place by applying pressure to the snap-in hooks.

Level the appliance using a spirit level.
Incorrect levelling may result in intense noise, vibrations and "wandering".
1. Loosen the lock nuts using a wrench, by turning it in a clockwise direction.
2. Check the alignment of the appliance with a spirit level, and adjust it if necessary. Change the height by turning the appliance feet.
3. Tighten the lock nut against the housing.

Before washing for the first time
The appliance was inspected thoroughly before leaving the factory. To remove any residual test water, run the Drum Clean programme the first time without laundry.
Note:
1. Insert mains plug.
2. Turn the water tap on.
3. Press the # button till the indicator lamp lights up, release the button. The appliance is switched on.
4. Close the door. Do not load any laundry.
5. Select the Drum Clean 90°C programme.
6. Open the detergent drawer.
7. Pour approx. 1 litre of water into the manual dosing compartment.
8. Add standard detergent into the manual dosing compartment according to manufacturer’s instructions for light soiling.

10. Select A.
11. When the programme ends, press the # button till the indicator lamp turns off, release the button.

Protecting your laundry and appliance

Damage to the appliance/textiles
The following instructions must be observed when preparing your laundry:
■ Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when dosing all detergents, cleaning aids, care products and cleaning agents.
■ Do not exceed maximum load. Overfilling will impair the washing result.
■ Keep detergents and agents for the pretreatment of laundry (e.g. stain remover, prewash sprays, etc.) away from the surfaces of the appliance. Using a damp cloth, immediately remove any fine spray residue and other residue or droplets.
■ Empty any pockets. Remove any foreign objects.
■ Remove metal parts (paper clips, etc.).
■ Trousers, knitwear and knitted textiles, e.g. jersey garments, T-shirts or sweatshirts, should be turned inside out.
■ Ensure that underwired bras are appliance-washable.
■ Wash delicates in a net or bag (tights, underwired bras, etc).
■ Close zips, button up covers.
■ Brush sand out of pockets and collars.
■ Remove curtain fittings or place in a net/bag.

Sort your laundry according to the care instructions and manufacturer's information on the care labels, depending on:
■ Type of fabric/fibre
■ Colour

2. For washing the laundry, use a special detergent for outdoor textiles; add the correct dosage to the manual dosing compartment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Thoroughly clean the compartment beforehand.
3. Start the programme. The programme stops before the waterproofing cycle (depending on the setting).
4. For waterproofing the laundry, add the dosage of waterproofing agent (max. 170 ml) to themanual dosing compartment.
5. Press the A button to continue the programme. After-treat the laundry in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

0 Programme default settings
Programme default settings
You can change the default settings for selected programmes. The settings can be changed even while the selected programme is running. The effects depending on the progress of the programme.
Temperature
Before and after the programme starts, you can change the temperature setting, depending on what stage the programme is in, by adjusting the desired temperature on the display.
The maximum temperature that can be set depends on the programme that has been selected.
Spin speed
Depending on what stage the programme is in, you can change the spin speed (in rpm; revolutions per minute) before and during the programme by adjusting the desired speed on the display.
setting 2: 2 =”No spin”. The rinsing water is drained but there is no final spin. The laundry stays wet inside the drum, e.g. for items that should not be spun.
You can select “No spin” to prevent creasing if the laundry will not be taken out of the appliance immediately after the programme has ended.
The maximum speed that can be set depending on the model and the programme that has been selected.
Finish in time
Before starting the programme, you can preselect the programme end ("Finish in" time) in 0.5h (h = hour) increments up to a maximum of 24 hours.
1. Select a programme (except My Time programme).
2. Touch the ˜ button repeatedly until the required number of hours is displayed.

Note:
You can find possible additional programme settings in the overview; these differ depending on the model.
By selecting additional programme settings, you can better adapt the washing process to your items of laundry.
The settings can be selected or deselected depending on the progress of the programme.
The button indicator lamps light up if a setting is activated.
The settings are not retained after the appliance is switched off.
提速 (SpeedPerfect)
Washing in a shorter time while achieving a washing result that is consistent with the normal performance.
Touch 提速 (SpeedPerfect) to activate or deactivate it.
Note:
With the 提速 (SpeedPerfect) additional programme setting activated, the maximum load of washing will be reduced.
轻松熨 (Easy iron)
A special operation using reduced spin speed followed by fluffing to help reduce creasing.
Touch 轻松熨 (Easy iron) to activate or deactivate it.
Note:
If 轻松熨 (Easy iron) has been activated, the laundry will have retained a higher than average level of moisture after spinning.
带预洗 (Prewash)
For heavily soiled laundry.

Before the main wash cycle starts, the laundry remains in the water for longer to remove bad soiling. To be used for particularly stubborn soiling.

Additional rinse cycles for particularly sensitive skin and/or for areas with very soft water.
Longer programme duration, due to additional rinse cycle.
The number of rinse cycles that the programme actually runs depends on the number that is set as a basic setting for the programme.
免排水 (Rinse hold)
The laundry remains in the rinsing water after it has been washed.
Touch 免排水 (Rinse hold) and activate or deactivate it.
Note:
If you have selected 免排水 (Rinse hold), the laundry remains in the rinsing water after it has been washed. You either have to spin the laundry or drain the water in order to end the programme. Only then can you remove the laundry.
记忆 (Memory)
With memory you can save a selected programme with your favourite settings.
1. Switch on the appliance.
2. Select a programme.
3. If required, change the programme default settings and/or select programme additional settings.
4. Touch and hold 记忆 (Memory) button for approx. three seconds.
Calling up: touch 记忆 (Memory) button briefly after you switch on the appliance.
Reset: touch and hold 记忆 (Memory) button again for approx. three seconds after selecting the new programme and settings.
i-DOS setting
Your appliance has an intelligent dosing system for liquid detergent (å) and fabric softener (©).
The optimum quantities of liquid detergent and fabric softener are dispensed automatically.
You can press ý i-Dos å or þ i-Dos M/ å to activate or deactivate automatic dosing and set the basic dosages.

The appliance was tested before delivery. To remove residual water from the test procedure, the first wash cycle should be run without laundry using the Drum Clean programme. ~ "Before washing for the first time" on page 21

Switching on the appliance/ selecting a programme
Press the # button till the indicator lamp lights up, release the button. The appliance is switched on.
The Cottons programme (only washing), which is preset at the factory, is then always displayed.
You can use this programme or select a different programme.
Note:
If you have activated the childproof lock, you have to deactivate it ~ Page 38 before you can set a programme.
Presettings and maximum load are indicated on the display panel for the selected programme.
Placing laundry into the drum
Open the door, place laundry in the drum, make sure that no items of laundry are trapped between the door and the rubber seal, and close the door.

Measuring and adding detergent and care products
For the majority of programs on your appliance, detergent and fabric softener are dispensed automatically; it is a factory setting for these programs and can be changed.

For programs without intelligent dosing, or if you wish to control the dosing yourself (in which case, deactivate intelligent dosing), you will need to add detergent manually to the manual dosing compartment.

Starting the programme
Touch and hold A button for 1~2 seconds, then release the button. The programme starts and the appliance door is locked.
The Finish in time is shown in the display panel and counts down until the programme starts. After the programme has started, the programme duration is displayed. And the symbols for the programme progress are lighting up.
Note:
Foam detection
If the symbol Å also lights up in the display panel, the appliance has detected too much foam during the wash cycle and automatically activated additional rinse cycles to remove the foam.
Childproof lock
You can lock the appliance to prevent the functions you have set from being changed inadvertently. To do this, activate the childproof lock.
To activate the childproof lock:
After the programme starts, Touch and hold the E 3 秒 button for 3 seconds.
■ E lights up: The childproof lock is activated.
■ E flashes: If the programme and programme settings are adjusted while childproof lock is activated.
Note:
When the programme ends, End is displayed. The door is unlocked. E remain on to remind you to deactivate the childproof lock.
To deactivate the childproof lock:
Touch and hold the E 3 秒 button until the symbol E disappears.
Adding/removing laundry
After starting the programme, you can add or remove laundry if necessary.
Touch the A button. The appliance checks whether reloading is possible.
If the following appears on the display panel:
■ The symbol Õ disappears, reloading is possible.
■ The symbol Õ lights up, reloading is not possible.
To continue the programme, touch the A button. The programme continues automatically.

2. Select another programme.
3. And touch the A button again. The new programme starts from the beginning.
Cancel the programme
1. Touch the A button.
2. To cool down laundry: Select Rinse.
3. And touch the A button again.

Programme end during rinse hold
The symbol A flashes on the display panel, and the preset spin speed and remaining programme length are displayed for the selected programme.
Continue the programme by:
■ Touch the A button or
■ Change the spin speed (if necessary) and then touch the A button again.
Note:
Programme end
End lights up on the display panel and A and Õ displays are off.
If you have selected 2, the water is only drained after rinse process, no spin cycle.
Removing laundry/switching off the appliance
1. Press the # button till the indicator lamp turns off, release the button.
2. Open the door and remove the laundry.
3. Turn off the water tap.

Familiarising yourself with i- DOS
i-DOS Intelligent dosing system
Your appliance has an intelligent dosing system for liquid detergent and fabric softener.
The optimum quantities of liquid detergent and fabric softener are dispensed automatically depending on the programme and settings.
Automatic dosing is activated at the factory for all the designated programmes and it can be adjusted to suit your requirements. The settings are saved when the appliance is switched off.
For programmes in which automatic dosing is not possible, you can add suitable detergent to the compartment in the detergent drawer for manual dosing.
i-DOS Detergent drawer
Before setting up i-DOS
Follow the manufacturer's instructions when choosing your detergent and care product. We recommend using easy- pour, all-purpose, universal and colour liquid detergents for all machine- washable, coloured items made of cotton or synthetic fabrics.

Automatic dosing
Automatic dosing can be activated or deactivated for each of the designated wash programmes separately.
Automatic dosing can also be activated or deactivated once the programme has started, although this depends on which stage the programme is in.
To activate/deactivate the function, press ý i-Dos å and/or þ i-Dos M/å briefly.The setting will be saved until the next time it is changed.

Default setting for the dispenser content ©/ å: Fabric softener (©). Alternatively, you can also use this dispenser for a second liquid detergent.
Set the dispenser content as follows:
1. Press and hold þ i-Dos M/å for approx. 3 seconds.
2. Adjust the setting using: þ i-Dos M/ å.
Note:
3. To exit setting mode, press and hold þ i-Dos M/å for approx. 3 seconds or wait for a short while.
Note:
If both dispensers are filled with liquid detergent, only the dispenser that was activated by choosing the i-DOS button is used during the wash cycle.

The basic dosage is the recommended dosage for a typical load of household laundry comprising approx. 10 items of clothing. The quantity of detergent and care product actually dispensed is calculated using the basic dosage and the amount of laundry, ...
The basic dosages for liquid detergent and fabric softener are set at the factory. You can individually adjust the basic dosages for each dispenser.
Check whether the preset basic dosages follow the manufacturer's recommendations in terms of:
■ A load of approx. 10 items of clothing
■ For liquid detergent – the normal degree of soiling and the relevant water hardness
■ For fabric softener – the medium softness
Refer to the packaging label on your liquid detergent/fabric softener or ask the manufacturer directly for this information.
If necessary, adjust the basic dosages to the recommended load for the liquid detergent/care product you are using, the water hardness and/or the degree of soiling.
Adjusting the basic dosage
1. Press and hold ý i-Dos å and/or þ i-Dos M/å for approx. 3 seconds.
2. Change the setting using: ˜/~
3. To exit setting mode, press and hold ý i-Dos å and/or þ i-Dos M/å for approx. 3 seconds or wait approx. 10 seconds.

Fill the dispensers as follows:
1. Pull out the detergent drawer.
2. Open the dispenser lids.
3. Pour liquid detergent and fabric softener into the relevant dispensers.

When refilling the dispensers, always use the same type of liquid detergent or fabric softener.
Do not mix different types of liquid detergent or fabric softener, as this can form lumps that may block the i-DOS pump unit.
If you switch to a different liquid detergent or fabric softener (type, manufacturer, etc.), empty the relevant dispenser completely and clean it beforehand. ~ Page 44
Manual dosing
For programmes in which automatic dosing is not possible or desirable, or in which it has been deactivated, you will need to add detergent to the manual dosing compartment.
The detergent and/or care product in this compartment is dispensed when the wash cycle starts. Do not add fabric softener or any other products that should not be used until later in the wash cycle (e.g. during rinsing).
Note:
Programmes with prewash: When automatic dosing is deactivated, place the detergent for the prewash in the drum. Pour washing powder for the main wash into the manual dosing compartment.
Dosing and adding detergent
Note:
Find out the optimum dosage for detergent and care product.
1. Pull out the detergent drawer.
2. Pour laundry detergent and/or care product into the manual dosing compartment.
3. Push in the detergent drawer.
Emptying the i-DOS detergent drawer, cleaning the i-DOS detergent drawer and its housing, cleaning the i-DOS pump unit
1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Pull out the detergent drawer.
3. Press down the insert and remove the drawer completely.
4. Press the pump unit insert and remove it.
5. Unclip the rear detergent drawer lid and remove it.
6. Empty the detergent drawer.
7. Clean the pump unit with a damp cloth.

8. Clean the drawer, inside surface and lids with a soft, damp cloth or a hand shower.
9. Dry the drawer, lids and pump unit and put them back together.
10. Clean the inside of the detergent drawer housing.
11. Push in the detergent drawer.
Q Appliance settings
Appliance settings
You can change the following settings in the control and display panel:
■ The volume of the information signal (e.g. at the end of the programme),
■ The volume of the operating signals,
■ The brightness of the touch display,
■ Switching the drum care information on/off.
You will need to activate the setting mode in order to change these settings.
Activating the setting mode
1. Switch on the appliance. The settings for the current programme are displayed.
2. Touch the 设置 (Setting) button.
You can now change the settings:
Changing the signal volume
To do this, touch ˜ or ~ on the touch display until the required adjustment value for the volume of the information signals appears:

Unbalanced load detection system
The automatic unbalanced load detection system detects imbalances and ensures even distribution of the laundry by repeatedly starting and stopping drum spinning.
If the laundry is extremely unevenly distributed, the spin speed is reduced or the spin cycle is not performed for safety reasons.
Note:
Place large and small items of laundry evenly in the drum.
Aqua-Sensors
Depending on the programme and model
During a rinse cycle, the Aqua sensor checks the turbidity of the rinsing water (turbidity is caused by dirt and detergent residue). The duration and the number of rinse cycles depend on the turbidity of the water.

■ Remove the detergent residue immediately.
■ Wipe the housing and the control panel with a soft, damp cloth.
■ Do not use abrasive cloths, sponges or detergents (stainless steel cleaner).
■ Do not clean the appliance with a water jet.
Drum
Use chlorine-free cleaning agents, do not use steel wool.
If there are odours in the appliance, or to clean the drum, run the Drum Clean 90°C programme without laundry.
Descaling
Descaling should not be necessary if the detergent is measured out correctly. However, if it is required, follow the manufacturer's instructions for the descaling agent. Suitable descalers can be obtained via our website or from customer services.
Drain pump is blocked
Note:
Turn the water tap off to prevent more water from flowing in and to ensure that it is drained via the pump.

1. Press the # button. Pull out the mains plug.
2. Open the service flap.
3. Take the drain hose out of the retainer.
4. Carefully unscrew the pump cover; residual water may leak out.
5. Refit and screw on the pump cover. The handle must be in a vertical position.
6. Close the service flap.
Note:
To prevent unused detergent from flowing straight into the drain during the next wash: Pour 1 litre of water into manual dosing compartment and start the Spin programme.
The drain hose at the siphon is blocked
1. Press the # button. Pull out the mains plug.
2. Loosen the hose clamp. Carefully remove the drain hose; residual water may leak out.
3. Clean the drain hose and siphon connecting piece.
4. Re-attach the drain hose and secure the connection point using the hose clamp.
Filter in the water supply is blocked
Release water pressure in the supply hose:
1. Turn off the water tap.
2. Select the Cottons (activate 提速 (SpeedPerfect) setting) programme.

3. Select the A button. Allow the programme to run for approx. 40 seconds.
4. Press the button #.
5. Pull out the mains plug.
Clean the filters:
1. Disconnect the hose from the rear of the appliance.
2. Use pliers to remove the filter.
3. Clean the filter with a small brush.
4. Connect the hose and check for leaks.
