• Drainfuelintoanapprovedcontaineroutdoors,away
fromanyopenflame.Allowenginetocool.Extin-
guishcigarettes,cigars,pipesandothersources
ofignitionpriortodrainingfuel. Fuelleft inengine
duringwarmweatherdeterioratesandwillcause
seriousstartingproblems.
If unitis tobestoredover30 days,preparefor
storageasinstructedinthe separateenginemanual
packedwithyourunit.
Runengineuntilfueltankis emptyandenginestops
duetolackoffuel.
Removegasolinefromcarburetorandfueltankto
preventgumdepositsfromformingon theseparts
andcausingpossiblemalfunctionofengine.
Draincarburetorbypressingupwardon bowldrain,
locatedbelowthecarburetorcover.
• Fuelstabilizers,suchasSTA-BIL®,arean accept-
ablealternativein minimizingtheformationoffuel
gumdepositsduringstorage.Donotdraincarburetor
ifusinga fuelstabilizer.
• Wipeequipmentwithanoiled ragto preventrust.
• Removesparkplugandpouroneounceofengine
oilthroughsparkplugholeintocylinder.Coverspark
plugholewithrag.Crankengineseveraltimesto
distributeoil.Replacesparkplug.
• Followthelubricationrecommendationsfoundin the
MaintenanceSection.
Alwaysstorethe snowthrowerina clean,dryarea.
