Using a Safety Cable

Some regional construction codes require the use of a secondary

method of securing loudspeakers to support structures

to provide additional safety. Choose a mounting position,

method, and hardware consistent with local building codes and

regulations.

A safety cable can be attached to the loudspeaker using the

threaded insert on the back of the enclosure.

The insert is sized for an M8 screw (not included) with a depth of

15 millimeters (0.59 inches).

Installation Options

There are two pairs of slots used

to secure the loudspeaker to the

mounting bracket, located on the

back and side of the loudspeaker.

There are two dierent loudspeaker

mounting positions: horizontal and

vertical. See the table to the right to

choose the installation option best

suited for your installation.

Note: Installation in close proximity

to cooking surfaces where the

loudspeaker may be directly exposed

to cooking oils, such as in commercial

cooking environments, may decrease

the performance or functionality of

the loudspeaker.

Installing the Bracket

Note: When choosing an installation location, at least one of the mounting bracket's attachment points must be secured to a support

structure. Attachment points not secured to a support structure must be secured using appropriate hardware for the installation. Choose

fasteners that are consistent with all local building codes and requirements.

Note: Choose appropriate fasteners to support the weight of the loudspeaker (16.10 kg [35.5 lb]).

1. Mark the drill holes.

2. Drill four holes (sized for appropriate fasteners) into the wall.

3. Secure the bracket to the wall with four screws (not included). Note: Use M6 or ¼-inch sized screws.

Wiring the Connector

1. Feed the wires through the center hole of the bracket.

2. Remove the connector from the loudspeaker.

3. Wire the connector. For wiring information, see Wiring the

Loudspeaker on page 4.

The Bose DesignMax DM10S-SUB loudspeaker has passed testing and complies with the following speciﬁcations and uses:

The DesignMax DM10S-SUB loudspeaker has been designed to the requirements deﬁned in the following European regulatory

speciﬁcation for combination systems:

Rotating the Logo

You can rotate the Bose logo to align with your loudspeaker orientation. To rotate the

logo, ﬁrst remove the grille by removing the three screws on each side of the grille.

With one hand, press the button on the back of the grille. Rotate the logo with the other

hand. The logo can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise.

Once you've rotated the logo to your desired orientation, replace the grille and secure it

into place with the six screws.

Note: Do not pinch the button inward unless you intend to remove the logo.

Installing the Loudspeaker

WARNING: Failure to follow the steps below could lead to an unsafe mounting condition, which could create a falling hazard.

Note: A 6-millimeter hex key is required for proper installation.

1. Attach the loudspeaker to the bracket by sliding the arms of the bracket into the slots on the loudspeaker, either on the back or side

of the loudspeaker depending on your chosen loudspeaker position (see Installation Options on page 5).

2. Insert one of the included M8 screws into the hole on each side of the loudspeaker.

3. Tighten the screws using the hex key to secure the loudspeaker to the bracket.

4. Insert one rubber cap into the hole on each side of the loudspeaker.

El altavoz DesignMax DM10S-SUB se diseñó según los requisitos deﬁnidos en la siguiente especiﬁcación reglamentaria europea para

Giro del logotipo

Puede girar el logotipo de Bose para alinearlo con la orientación del altavoz. Para girar

el logotipo, primero quite los 3 tornillos de cada costado de la rejilla a ﬁn de extraerla.

Con una mano, presione el botón de la parte posterior de la rejilla. Gire el logotipo con

la otra mano. El logotipo se puede girar hacia la derecha o la izquierda.

Cuando gire el logotipo a la orientación deseada, vuelva a colocar la rejilla y fíjela con

los 6 tornillos.

Nota: No apriete el botón hacia adentro, a menos que tenga la intención de quitar el logotipo.

Instalación del altavoz

Nota: Se necesita una llave hexagonal de 6 milímetros para una instalación apropiada.

l’installation. Choisissez des ﬁxations conformes à tous les codes applicables et toutes les exigences locales en matière de bâtiment.

Remarque: choisissez des ﬁxations appropriées pour supporter le poids de l’enceinte (16,10kg [35,5lb]).

Rotation du logo

Vous pouvez faire pivoter le logo Bose pour l’aligner sur l’orientation de l’enceinte. Pour

faire pivoter le logo, retirez d’abord la grille en enlevant les trois vis de chaque côté de

lagrille.

D’une main, appuyez sur le bouton situé au dos de la grille. Faites pivoter le logo avec

l’autre main. Il est possible de faire pivoter le logo dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre

ou dans le sens inverse.

Une fois que vous avez fait pivoter le logo dans l’orientation désirée, replacez la grille

etﬁxez-la à l’aide des six vis.

Remarque: ne pincez pas le bouton vers l’intérieur à moins que vous ne souhaitiez

retirerle logo.

Installation de l’enceinte

AVERTISSEMENT: si vous ne suivez pas les étapes ci-dessous, vous risquez d’aboutir à un montage non sécurisé susceptible

Remarque: une clé Allen de 6millimètres est nécessaire pour une installation correcte.

1. Fixez l’enceinte au support en faisant glisser les bras du support dans les fentes de l’enceinte, à l’arrière ou sur le côté de l’enceinte,

selon la position d’installation que vous avez choisie (consultez la section Options d’installation en page15).

2. Insérez l’une des visM8 fournies dans l’oriﬁce, de chaque côté de l’enceinte.

3. Serrez les vis à l’aide de la clé Allen pour ﬁxer l’enceinte au support.

4. Insérez un capuchon en caoutchouc dans l’oriﬁce, sur chaque côté de l’enceinte.

Verwendung eines Sicherungsseils

Montage der Halterung

müssen mit für die Montage geeigneten Befestigungselementen angebracht werden. Verwenden Sie Sicherungselemente, die den

Hinweis: Achten Sie darauf, dass die Sicherungselemente für das Gewicht des Lautsprechers (16,10kg) geeignet sind.

1. Markieren Sie die Position der Bohrlöcher.

2. Bohren Sie vier Löcher (in der Größe passender Sicherungselemente) in die Wand.

3. Befestigen Sie die Halterung mit vier Schrauben (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) an der Wand. Hinweis: Verwenden Sie

Der Bose DesignMax DM10S-SUB Lautsprecher hat die Testreihen bestanden und entspricht den folgenden Normen und

Der DesignMax DM10S-SUB Lautsprecher wurde gemäß den Anforderungen der folgenden EU-Norm für kombinierte Systeme entwickelt:

Drehen des Logos

Sie können das Bose Logo an die Ausrichtung des Lautsprechers anpassen. Um das

Logo zu drehen, entfernen Sie zunächst die Frontabdeckung, indem Sie die drei daran

befestigten Schrauben auf jeder Seite entfernen.

Drücken Sie mit einer Hand die Vorrichtung an der Rückseite der Frontabdeckung. Drehen

Sie mit der anderen Hand das Logo. Das Logo kann im und gegen den Uhrzeigersinn

gedreht werden.

Wenn Sie das Logo in die gewünschte Position gebracht haben, setzen Sie die

Frontabdeckung wieder auf und befestigen Sie sie mit den sechs Schrauben.

Hinweis: Drücken Sie die Vorrichtung nur nach innen, wenn Sie das Logo entfernen wollen.

Installieren des Lautsprechers

WICHTIGER HINWEIS: Die Nichtbeachtung der unten aufgeführten Schritte kann zu einer unsicheren Befestigung sowie zum

Herunterfallen des Lautsprechers führen.

Hinweis: Für die ordnungsgemäße Installation wird ein Innensechskantschlüssel (6mm) benötigt.

1. Um den Lautsprecher an der Halterung zu befestigen, schieben Sie die Arme der Halterung je nach gewünschter Lautsprecherposition

(siehe Installationsoptionen auf Seite 20) in die Aussparungen an der Seite oder der Rückseite des Lautsprechers.

2. Setzen Sie je eine der mitgelieferten M8-Schrauben in die dafür vorgesehenen Löcher an den Seiten des Lautsprechers ein.

3. Ziehen Sie die Schrauben mit dem Innensechskantschlüssel an, um den Lautsprecher an der Halterung zu befestigen.

4. Verschließen Sie die Löcher an den Seiten des Lautsprechers mit je einer Gummiabdeckung.

1. Contrassegnare la posizione dei fori.

Rotazione del logo

È possibile ruotare il logo Bose per allinearlo in base all’orientamento del diusore.

Per ruotare il logo, innanzitutto rimuovere la griglia rimuovendo le tre viti su ciascun lato

della griglia.

Premere il pulsante sul retro della griglia con una mano. Ruotare il logo con l’altra mano.

Il logo può ruotare in senso orario o antiorario.

Dopo aver ruotato il logo nell’orientamento desiderato, riposizionare la griglia e ﬁssarla in

posizione con le sei viti.

Nota: premere il pulsante verso l’interno solo se si desidera rimuovere il logo.

Installazione del diusore

AVVERTENZA: la mancata osservanza delle seguenti istruzioni può causare condizioni di ﬁssaggio non sicure, con conseguenti

rischi di caduta.

Nota: per una corretta installazione è necessaria una chiave esagonale da 6 mm.

1. Fissare il diusore alla staa facendo scorrere i relativi bracci nelle scanalature del diusore, sul retro o sul lato del diusore, a

seconda della posizione di ﬁssaggio scelta (vedere Opzioni di installazione a pagina 25).

2. Inserire una delle viti M8 incluse nel foro su ciascun lato del diusore.

3. Serrare le viti utilizzando la chiave esagonale per ﬁssare il diusore alla staa.

4. Inserire una copertura in gomma nel foro su ciascun lato del diusore.

Een veiligheidskabel gebruiken

In sommige regio’s bent u volgens de bouwvoorschriften

verplicht luidsprekers dubbel gezekerd te bevestigen

voor extra veiligheid. De gekozen locatie, montagewijze

en gebruikte montagemiddelen moeten voldoen aan de

geldendebouwvoorschriften en -verordeningen.

Er kan een veiligheidskabel aan de luidspreker worden bevestigd

met behulp van de schroefdraad op de achterkant van de

behuizing.

De opening is geschikt voor een M8-schroef (niet meegeleverd)

met een lengte van 15 millimeter.

Installatieopties

Op de achterkant en zijkant van de

luidspreker zitten twee paar sleuven

voor bevestiging van de luidspreker

aan de beugel. De luidspreker

kan op twee manieren worden

gemonteerd: horizontaal en verticaal.

Raadpleeg de tabel rechts voor de

luidsprekeroriëntatie die het meest

geschikt is voor uw installatie.

Opmerking: Installatie in de nabijheid

van kookoppervlakken waar de

luidspreker direct kan worden

blootgesteld aan bakolie (zoals

in professionele keukens) kan de

prestaties of betrouwbaarheid van de

luidspreker verminderen.

De beugel bevestigen

Opmerking: Ten minste één van de bevestigingspunten van de muurbeugel moet aan een dragende structuur worden bevestigd.

Bijbevestigingspunten die niet aan een dragende structuur worden bevestigd, moet de juiste bevestigingshardware worden gebruikt. Kies

bevestigingsmaterialen die aan de lokale bouwvoorschriften en -vereisten voldoen.

Het logo draaien

Het Bose-logo kan worden gedraaid afhankelijk van de luidsprekeroriëntatie. Om het logo

te draaien, moet eerst de grille worden verwijderd door de drie schroeven aan beide zijden

van de grille los te draaien.

Druk met één hand op de knop op de achterkant van de grille. Draai het logo met de andere

hand. Het logo kan links- of rechtsom worden gedraaid.

Wanneer u het logo hebt gedraaid, plaatst u de grille weer terug en bevestigt u deze met

de zes schroeven.

Opmerking: Knijp de knop niet in tenzij u het logo wilt verwijderen.

De luidspreker installeren

WAARSCHUWING: Het niet volgen van deze stappen kan resulteren in een onveilige bevestiging en kan een risico op vallen

veroorzaken.

Opmerking: Voor juiste installatie is een inbussleutel van 6 millimeter vereist.

1. Bevestig de luidspreker aan de beugel door de zijarmen van de beugel in de gleuven in de luidspreker te plaatsen. Afhankelijk van de

gewenste luidsprekeroriëntatie zijn dit de sleuven aan de achterkant of de zijkant (zie Installatieopties op pagina 30).

2. Plaats in beide zijkanten van de luidspreker een van de meegeleverde M8-schroeven.

3. Draai de schroeven vast met de inbussleutel om de luidspreker aan de beugel te bevestigen.

4. Druk aan beide zijkanten een rubberen dopje in het bevestigingspunt.

Det er to par spor som brukes til å feste

høyttaleren til monteringsbraketten,

på baksiden og siden av høyttaleren.

Det er to forskjellige posisjoner for

høyttalermontering: Horisontal og

vertikal. Se tabellen til høyre for å

velgeinstalleringsalternativet som

passer best til installasjonen.

Merk: Montering på steder hvor

høyttaleren kan komme i kontakt

med matolje, for eksempel på

storkjøkken, kan redusere ytelsen

ellerfunksjonaliteten til høyttaleren.

Montere braketten

Merk: Når du velger monteringssted, må minst ett av festepunktene til monteringsbraketten være festet til en støttestruktur. Festepunkter som

ikke er festet til en støttestruktur, må festes med bruk av egnet jernvare til monteringen. Velg festeanordninger som samsvarer med alle lokale

byggeforskrifter og krav.

Rotere logoen

Du kan rotere Bose-logoen for å samsvare med høyttalerens retning. Hvis du vil rotere logoen,

må du først ta av grillen ved å skru ut de tre skruene på hver side av grillen.

Trykk på knappen bak på grillen med én hånd. Roter logoen med den andre hånden. Logoenkan

roteres med klokken eller mot klokken.

Når du har rotert logoen til ønsket retning, setter du på plass grillen og fester den på plass

medde seks skruene.

Montering av høyttaleren

安装选件

位于扬声器背面和侧面的两对插槽用于将

扬声器固定到壁装支架上。扬声器有两种

安装位置：水平和垂直。查看右侧表格，

选择最适合您安装应用的方式选项。

注意：安装在靠近烹饪台的位置（例如在

商业烹饪环境中）时，扬声器可能直接暴

露在烹饪油烟之下，这可能会降低扬声器

的性能或可靠性。

安装支架

注意：选择安装位置时，必须将安装支架的至少一个连接点固定到支撑结构上。未固定到支撑结构上的连接点必须使用合适的安装紧固件进行固定。

请选择符合当地所有建筑法规和要求的紧固件。

注意：请选择合适的紧固件以支撑扬声器的重量（16.10 千克 [35.5 磅]）。

1. 做好钻孔记号。

2. 在墙壁上钻四个孔（大小适合相应的紧固件）。

3. 使用四颗螺丝（不随附）将支架固定到墙壁上。

DesignMax DM10S-SUB 扬声器是根据以下有关组合系统的欧洲监管规范中规定的要求进行设计的：

旋转徽标

您可以旋转 Bose 徽标，使其与扬声器的方向一致。要旋转徽标，先请拧下网罩每侧的三颗螺

安全ケーブルの使用

お住まいの地域により、安全性の強化のため、スピーカーの構造物に対する

固定に二次的な方法も用いることが法令により義務づけられている場合が

あります。適用される建築基準や規制を満たす設置場所や設置方法、器具

を選択してください。

本スピーカーに安全ケーブルを取り付けるときは、筐体の背面にあるネジ穴

を使用してださい。

ネジ穴はM8 x 15 mmのサイズです（ネジは付属しません）。

スピーカーと取り付けブラケットを固定する

スロット（x2）が本体の背面と側面にそれぞ

れ用意されています。スピーカーの向きは

横向きと縦向きの両方向に対応します。右

の表を参考に、最適な設置オプションを決

めてください。

注: スピーカーは、食用油に直接晒される可

能性がある加熱調理スペース（商業店舗の

厨房など）の近くに設置すると、性能や機能

が低下するおそれがあります。

ブラケットを取り付ける

注: 取り付け位置を決める際、取り付けブラケットの取り付けポイントの1箇所以上を、支持構造に固定する必要があります。取り付けポイントが支持構造にしっか

り固定されない場合、取り付ける際に適切な器具を使用して固定してください。各地域の建築基準と要件すべてに適合する留め具を選択してください。

注: スピーカーの重量（16.10 kg）を支えるのに適した留め具を選択してください。

1. 穴を空ける位置に印を付けます。

2. 壁に穴を4つ（使用する留め具の大きさ）開けます。

3. ネジを4つ（付属していません）使い、ブラケットを壁に固定します。

注: M6または¼インチサイズのネジを使います。

コネクターを配線する

1. ケーブルは、ブラケットの中央の穴を通します。

2. スピーカーからコネクターを外します。

3. コネクターを配線します。配線について詳しくは、「スピーカーの配線」

（54ページ）を参照してください。

ANSI/UL 1480A-2016のSpeakers for Commercial & Safety Professional Useに準拠

一般用途向けの使用 - UL Category UEAY、File Number S 5591 Control Number 3N89

NFPA 70、米国電気工事規程（2017年、第640条）に準拠したクラス1、クラス2、クラス3の配線による設置に対応

DesignMax DM10S-SUBは、コンビネーションシステム向けの以下の欧州規制仕様で規定されている要件に適合するように作られています。

IEC60268-5準拠試験を実施、2007年

ロゴの向きを調整する

Boseロゴは、回転させてスピーカーの向きに合わせることができます。グリル両側の3つのネジを外して、

グリルを取り外してからロゴを回転させます。

片方の手で、グリル背面にあるボタンを押します。もう一方の手で、ロゴを回します。ロゴは時計回りと反

時計回りの両方に回ります。

任意の位置にロゴを回転させたら、グリルを再度取り付けてネジで固定してください。

注: ロゴを外すとき以外は、ボタンを内側向きに押し込まないようにしてください。

スピーカーを取り付ける

警告: 下記の手順に従わない場合、設置が不安定になり、落下事故の原因となる可能性があります。

注: 設置には、6 mm六角レンチが必要です。

1. ブラケットのアームをスピーカーの背面や側面にあるスロットに差し込んで、スピーカーにブラケットを取り付けます（設置の向きについて詳しくは、55ページ

の設置オプションをご覧ください）。

2. 付属のM8ネジをスピーカーのネジ穴に差し込みます。

3. 六角レンチでネジを締めて、スピーカーとブラケットを固定します。

4. ゴムキャップをスピーカーのネジの穴に挿入します。


