"H" indicates that the Boost power
level has been selected for rapid
cooking and boiling.
Boost Setting
Boost is the highest power level,designed
for large quantitg rapid cooking and
boiling. Boostwill operate for a maximum
of 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, it will
automaticallg revert to power level9.
Boost mag be repeated after the initial
10 minute cgcle.
CAUTION:Do not leave a pot unattended
while in the Boost Mode.
Tostart the Boost power setting:
[_ Placea pan matching the size of the
induction element over the selected
indicator ring.
[_] Touch the ON/OFFpad. "S" will flash
inthe displag.
[] Touch and hold the (+)pad until the
displag reads "H."
NOTE:If the pan is removed, the displag
will flash "F" alternating to "H".After 30
seconds,the elements will turn off
automaticallg.
Sounds gou may hear:
You mag hear a slight "buzz"sound when
cooking with the Boost or high mode.This
is normal. The sound depends on the tgpe
of pot being used. Some pots will "buzz"
louder depending on the material. A "buzz"
sound mag be heard if the pan contents
are cold.As the pan heats, the sound will
decrease. If the power level is reduced, the
sound levelwill go down.

Power Sharing
Four burner cooktops are divided into two separate
heating zones.The right and left side cooking zones
are powered bu separate and independent induction
generators. One generator controls 2 elements, or two
cooking zoneswithin a heating section share the power
of one generator.
Five burner cooktops are divided into 3 zones.The
right and left side have separate cooking zones and the
large center element is another separate cooking zone.
Power Sharing is activated when both elements in the
same cooking zone are activated and one element is
setfor Boost (H).The element that is not set for Boost
will change to a lower power level.Thisis called
Power Sharing.When Boostoperation is complete
(10minutes),the other element may be reset to any
power level.Both elements can operate simultaneously
at normal power levelsettings of "L"to 9.
IMPORTANTNOTEFORFOURBURNERMODELS:
Theelementson the right sideshare one generator.
Both elementscan operate at anblnon-Boost (levelL
to 9)power levelat the same time. When the large
11" elementis set for "H"or Boost, the smaller
elementis outomoticallblshut off and cannot be
activated.After 10 minutes, Boost(H)will revert to
power level9.At that time, the smaller elementmabl
be activatedand set for anblpower level.
