Hold the tool with
both hands when
starting the tool. The torque from the
motor may cause the tool to twist and
cause loss of control, which may result
in personal injury and/or property
damage.
Start the tool before applying to work
and let the tool come to full speed
before contacting the workpiece. Lift
the tool from the work before releasing
the switch. DO NOT turn the switch
“ON” and “OFF” while the tool is under
load; this will decrease the life of the
switch.
Paddle switch with
"Lock-OFF" feature
Read and understand
the section in this
manual called “KICKBACK and Related
Warnings (page 6). Failure to follow
the Warnings may result in personal
injury.
Paddle switch enables the operator to
control the switch functions of "Lock-
OFF", and "ON/OFF".
TO UNLOCK SWITCH AND TURN TOOL
"ON": Push "Lock-OFF" switch release
lever 8a forward to unlock paddle
switch, then squeeze paddle switch 8
(Fig. 6).
TO SWITCH TOOL "OFF": Release
pressure on paddle lever. The switch is
spring loaded and will return to "OFF"
position automatically (Fig. 6).
In order to try to avoid KICKBACK (a
situation where the wheel wants to skip
out of the material) always make cuts
pushing the tool forward and not by
pulling it.
Depth Adjustment
Disconnect battery pack from tool.
Loosen the depth adjustment lever 15
located on the right side of the tool. The
foot 1 is spring loaded and will lower
automatically (Fig. 7).
Tighten lever counter clockwise at the
depth setting desired. Check desired
depth.
Line Guide
The cutting guide notch 2 will give an
approximate line of cut (Fig. 8). Make
sample cuts in scrap lumber to verify
actual line of cut.
