5.6 Boat Detection
Detects boats in the detection area, and detects the boat parameters such as speed, height and
distance. After configuring the rule, when a boat is detected crossing the rule line or area, an alarm is
triggered, and the Camera performs linkage actions.
5.6.1 Note
Install the Camera (with looking down) on a high point to avoid obstruction in the scanning
range and direct sunlight. Ensure that there is no interference during device rotation and
pitching. The recommended installation height is 10-40 m.
We recommend angle steel tower for tower mount. Install the Camera on the top of the tower to
avoid the obstruction from the tower. When installing on the side, the iron tower/wall will cause
a detection blind area, which is not conducive to boat detection.
The Camera should be installed horizontally to avoid the slope of the base, to ensure the
accurate calibration function of the boat. We recommend you use two nuts and spring washers
at each hole of the PTZ to make the tower steady, so that the Camera keeps horizontal.
Make sure that the mounting surface can sustain at least 8 times the weight of the Camera and its
mounting structural components. The heavy PTZ (the weight of bare machines is about 4070
kg) should be installed on the installation plane that can sustain more than 1 T weight.

5.6.3 Configuring Preset
Preset means a certain position that the Camera can make quick orientation to. It includes PTZ pan
and tilt angles, camera focus, and location.
