FORWARD–FACING
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), NHTSA,
Transport Canada and Diono recommend that children
be rear-facing until they reach the maximum rear-facing
height or weight. This car seat can remain rear-facing up
to 50 lb (22.7 kg).
• When checked at forward-facing belt path, this
car seat should not move more than 1 in (2.5 cm)
from side-to-side or front-to-back. If using a lap
belt only, refer to your vehicle owners manual for
installation advice.
• Harness straps MUST be above the top of your child’s
shoulders. Place chest clip at armpit level.
• In forward-facing mode, the top of the car seat MUST
be supported by either the vehicle’s head support or
the vehicle’s seat back.
• A gap between the car seat and the vehicle’s seat
back is acceptable as long as the top is supported and
the bottom is at on the vehicle’s seat.
• While using only the lab belt with no available top
tether, you must use the 5th harness slot with the lap
belt cusion.
