Problem Cause and remedy
The sensor control for
setting the temperature
lights up until the
temperature display
flashes. An alarm tone
sounds.
The fan in the freezer section has failed.
Touch the sensor control.
The alarm tone will stop. The set temperature ap-
pears in the display again.
Contact the Miele Customer Service Department.
An alarm sounds. The appliance doors have been open for longer than
approx. 2minutes.
Close the appliance doors.
The floor of the refriger-
ator section is wet.
The condensate drain hole is blocked.
Clean the condensate channel and drain hole.
Food has frozen to-
gether.
The food packaging was not dry when placed in the
freezer.
Use a blunt instrument, e.g. a spoon handle or
plastic scraper, to prise it apart carefully.
The area around the
freezer section feels
warm.
This is not a fault. The heater prevents condensa-
tion around the door seal.
The door to the freezer
will not open because it
has been opened and
closed too many times
in succession.
This is not a fault. The suction caused by opening
and closing the door is preventing the door from
opening. Wait approx. 1minute and then try again.
It should now open without force.
Heavy build-up of ice on
the rear wall of the refri-
gerator section
The shelf in the refrigerator section has not been fit-
ted correctly.
Fit the shelf correctly. The rear edge must face up-
wards.
All LEDs in the temper-
ature display light up.
The temperature sensor is reports a fault.
Contact the Miele Customer Service Department.
If the alarm tone annoys you, it can be turned off
early. Touch the sensor control.
