a. Liftreardischargedoor.
b. Placegrasscatcheron thepivotrod.Letgo
ofdischargedoorsothat itrestson thegrass
catcher.SeeStep7.
Toremovegrasscatcherorconverttoa mulcher(if
equipped),lift reardischargedooronthe moweras
showninStep8. Liftgrasscatcherupandoutofthepivot
rod.Releasereardischargedoortoallowittocloserear
openingofmower.
_ ARNING: Never operate mower
unless the hooks on the grass
catcherare firmly seated in the
slotson the handle bracket as-
semblies, and the rear discharge
door rests firmly against top of
the grass catcher.
8. Ifcovertingtosidedischarge,makesuregrass
catcherisoff unitand reardischargedoorisclosed.
a. Liftmulchingplugon therightsideof mower.
b. Slidetwohooksofsidedischargechuteunder
thehingepinonthe mulchingplugassemblyand
lowerthesidemulchingplug.SeeStep8.
NOTE:Donotremovethesidemulchingplugat anytime,
evenwhenyouarenotmulching.
