Hard-Wiring Connection
If it is necessary to hard-wire this appliance, a qualified electrician mus remove the cord connection and wire the
appliance directly to the household wiring. The wire and power supply breaker must be rated for 120V, minimum
15 amps.
The appliance must be electrically connected and grounded in accordance with local codes. In the absence
of local codes, use the current CSA C22.1 Canadian Electrical Code in Canada or the current ANSI/NFPA 70
National Electrical Code in the United States.
1. Remove the cover plate from the right side bottom of the appliance by removing the 3 screws (Fig. 4-1).
2. Remove the wire connectors from the power cord. The power cord may be discarded.
3. Punch out the 7/8" (22.2mm) hole in the new cover plate (supplied) (Fig. 4-2) and install a box connector
through the junction box. Snap the box connector clamp onto the supply wires.
4. Using the wire connectors supplied in the hardware kit, connect the ground green wires (G), the
common white wires (N) together, and the hot black wires (L) (Fig. 4-3 and 4-4).
5. Reinstall the cover plate using the 3 screws previously removed in step 1.

service and repair this electric appliance.
