ENERGY SAVING mDEAS
Try not to open the door too often,
especially when the weather is hot and
humid. Once you open the door, ctose it
as soon as possible. This is especially
important if you have an upright model.
Make certain the appliance is sufficiently
ventilated (adequate air circulation
behind the appliance).
,, Set the thermostat from higher to lower settings as soon as
possible (depends on how loaded the appliance is, ambient
temperatures etc.).
,, If the gasket is damaged or the door seal is poor, energy
consumption is substantially higher. To restore efficiency,
replace the gasket.
Stainless Steel
Ctean with a high quality, stainIess steei cleaner/polish.
Frequent cleaning wiII remove surface contamination that could
lead to discoloration or rust.
If any surface discoloration or rust appears, clean it quickly with
Bon-Ami ®, Barkeepers Friend®, or a similar cleanser
specifically intended for stainless steel, and a non-abrasive
cloth. Always cIean in the direction of the grain. Always finish
this process with a high quality stainless steei cleaner/polish to
prevent further problems. Rust that is allowed to penetrate the
surface of stainless steel can become impossible to remove.
AUTOMATIC DEFROSTING OF THE APPLIANCE
There is no need to defrost the appliance, because ice
depositing on the inner back wail is defrosted automatically.
Ice build-up on the inner back wall during compressor
operation will defrost automatically (when the compressor has
cycled off). Defrost water wilI drain out passing through the drain
outlet in the inner back wail into a drain pan situated above the
compressor, from where it evaporates.
Gtass Door
Clean the glass portion of the door with any high quality glass
cleaner.
After cleaning, connect the appliance to the power supply and
reload it.

CLEANINGTHE APPLIANCE
Disconnect the power supply before cleaning the appliance.
Do not use solvent based or coarse, abrasive cleaning agents
as you may damage the surface.
Wipe the control panel with a clean, damp cloth and dry
thoroughly.
Clean the cabinet and grille with a mild detergent and warm
water solution. Use a soft sponge and rinse with clean water.
Wipe with a soft, clean towel to prevent water spotting.
Remove the detachable accessories in the interior of the
appliance and clean with water and liquid detergent.
Wash inside surfaces of the refrigerator with a solution of
two tablespoons of baking soda in one quart (1,136 litres)
warm water, Rinse and dry, Wring excess water out of the
sponge or cloth when cleaning in the area of the controls, or
any electrical parts,
1.Pull out power plug from wail socket. Use screw driver to
loosen screw that holds bulb protective cover and then
remove cover.
2. Rotate old bulb counter-clockwise to remove.
3. Screw in new bulb (max. 15W) clockwise.
4. Replace bulb protective cover.
SWITCHING OFFTHE APPLIANCEWHEN NOT IN USE
If the appliance will not be in use for long periods of time,
disconnect the power supply, remove the contents, and defrost
and clean the unit. Leave the door slightly open.
