Using the fax setup wizard

Notes:

• The setup wizard is available only if no device‑based fax, such as analog, etherFAX, or Fax over IP (FoIP),

is conﬁgured.

• Before using the wizard, make sure that the printer ﬁrmware is updated. For more information, see the

“Updating ﬁrmware” section.

1 From the control panel, navigate to Fax.

2 Select Set up now.

3 Type the fax name, and then select Next.

4 Enter the fax number and then select Done.

Using the Settings menu

From the control panel, navigate to Settings > Fax > Fax Setup > General Fax settings.

2 Conﬁgure the settings.

Using the Embedded Web Server

Open a web browser, and then type the printer IP address in the address ﬁeld.

Notes:

• View the printer IP address on the printer home screen. The IP address appears as four sets of

numbers separated by periods, such as 123.123.123.123.

• If you are using a proxy server, then temporarily disable it to load the web page correctly.

2 Click Settings > Fax > Fax Setup > General Fax Settings.

3 Conﬁgure the settings.

4 Apply the changes.
