SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WARNING: When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all Instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord or plug in
water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the
appliance.
6. Do not operate any Chefman appliance with a damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any
manner. Contact Chefman Customer Service.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by Chefman
may cause injuries.
8. Do not use outdoors.

2
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
11. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing
hot oil or other hot liquids.
12. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord in the wall outlet.
To disconnect, turn any control to "off," then remove plug from wall
outlet.
13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

3
WARNING: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). This plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do NOT attempt to modify the plug
in any way or force it into the outlet. This could result in injury or electric
shock.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards of entanglement
or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or
extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If a longer detachable power-supply extension cord is used:
1. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least
as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over unintentionally.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

4
POWER CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the power cord for cuts and/or abrasion
marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be
serviced, and the power cord replaced. Please contact Chefman
Customer Support for assistance.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place
undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to
fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE POWER CORD SHOWS
ANY DAMAGE OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY
OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
Do not place the appliance
on a stovetop or any other
heatable surface.

BEFORE FIRST USE
1. 1. Remove all packing materials and stickers from the inside and
outside of the appliance. Be sure that all accessories are included
before disposing of any packaging.
2. 2. Ensure you have all parts before discarding packaging.
3. 3. Gently wipe the exterior of the Crepe Maker with a clean, damp
cloth and dry thoroughly.
NOTE: During first use, the Crepe Maker may emit a little smoke or a subtle
odor. This is normal and will dissipate after more than one use.
HOW TO USE
1. Place Crepe Maker on flat surface away from the wall.
2. Lightly oil plate or spray with cooking spray before powering on the
Crepe Maker.
3. Plug in the Crepe Maker.
4. Turn the control knob to Dark (to the right) to initiate max heating.
5. Plate takes about 2 minutes to heat.
6. Once plate is heated, pour or ladle 1/3 to 1/2 cup crepe batter onto
one side of plate.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

7
7. Use the spreader to spread batter evenly over entire plate, keeping
spreader within limits of plate.
8. Let batter cook undisturbed until no longer liquid and crepe begins to
form, about 45 seconds. Using the wooden spatula, gently lift edge to
check that the crepe is golden brown in spots.
9. Slide the spatula under the crepe, gently turn spatula clockwise to
raise crepe off plate, then flip crepe over. Cook second side until done,
about 30 seconds.
10. Fold or fill crepe as desired or as recipe directs, or transfer crepe to a
rack to cool.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT use metal tools or knives on non-stick surface of the
Crepe Maker. Use the wooden tools provided or tools made from other
heatproof, non-abrasive materials, such as silicone.
CREPE MAKING TIPS
Crepes are super easy to make, but a few tips help guarantee success.
• Let crepe batter rest for at least 10 minutes to let air bubbles subside; this
will make crepes less likely to tear.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

8
• Batter should be as thick as heavy cream, not as thick as pancake batter.
Check just before cooking. If it feels too thick, thin out the batter with a
little milk.
• When spreading batter, pull the spreader across plate in an arc to spread
batter; do NOT push the batter or it may tear.
• Gently spread the batter as the crepe begins to set to get an even
coating.
• Lift edge of the crepe with fingertips to aid with flipping.
• Wipe off spreader occasionally between crepes.
• Lightly oil cooking plate between crepes to prevent sticking.
• If using crepes right away, they can be stacked or overlapped on cooling
rack.
• If refrigerating or freezing crepes, stack them between sheets of wax
paper or parchment paper. Wrap well in plastic wrap before chilling.
FILLING CREPES
The beauty of crepes is that they welcome many kinds of fillings, savory
and sweet. Quick fillings can be as simple as butter and a sprinkling of
sugar, grated cheese, or anything from the fridge or pantry that would
be tasty on toast or pancakes. Create your own fillings or try one of our
delicious, triple-tested recipes.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

9
FOLDING AND ROLLING CREPES
You can fold and roll crepes in many different ways. For all, start with the
crepe’s best-looking side facing down. Here are some of our favorite ways
to fold and roll crepes:
The fold over:
Put the filling in a line down the center of the crepe. Fold in one side over
the filling just past the middle. Then, fold the other side just past the middle
to reveal some filling at the ends.
The triangle:
Spoon filling over half of the crepe. Fold the crepe in half to form a half
moon. Then fold in half again to form a triangle. If desired, fold again.
The square:
Spoon filling into the center of the crepe. Fold both sides over filling, then
fold bottom and top over folded sides.
The roll:
Spread filling over the entire crepe. Fold in sides, then roll up bottom to top
like a burrito.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

10
The stack:
Spread filling over the entire crepe, top with another crepe and repeat.
OTHER USES FOR CREPE MAKER
Use your Crepe Maker as an electric griddle – make blintzes, fry or scramble
eggs, warm up tortillas, grill sandwiches, and more!
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

11
NOTE: Do NOT clean Crepe Maker when hot. Allow unit to cool
completely before washing or moving any parts of the Crepe Maker.
1. Gently wipe the plate and base of the Crepe Maker with a clean,
damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
2. Hand wash the Crepe Maker accessories. The accessories are NOT
dishwasher safe.
3. Dry thoroughly before storing.
IMPORTANT: Do not submerge Crepe Maker in water or put in
dishwasher. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleaners on non-stick
surface.

BROWN BUTTER CREPES
Perfect for both sweet and savory
crepe dishes, this all-purpose
crepe has a rich, toasty flavor
thanks to lightly browned butter.
Active Time: 30 min.
Total Time: 1 hour
Servings: 12 crepes
Ingredients:
• 7 tbsp unsalted butter
• 1 ¾ cups whole milk, plus more
as needed
• 4 large eggs
• ½ tsp kosher salt
• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• Vegetable oil or cooking spray
as needed
1. In a small saucepan, cook butter over medium heat, swirling it
occasionally, until melted and golden-brown, 2 to 4 minutes. Immediately
pour melted butter into a small bowl.
2. Blend the milk, eggs, and salt in a blender to combine. Add the flour and
blend until very smooth, about 20 seconds. (Alternatively, whisk by hand
and strain to remove any lumps.) Add the brown butter and blend or
whisk until combined.
3. Let batter rest for at least 5 minutes and up to 24 hours. (If resting for
more than 30 minutes, cover and refrigerate.)
RECIPES

13
4. Lightly oil crepe plate or spray with cooking spray. Wipe off excess oil.
Heat plate by plugging in crepe maker and turning temperature control
knob to MAX setting.
5. When green light comes on, pour or ladle 1/3 to 1/2 cup batter to one
side of crepe plate. Immediately use spreader to spread batter to cover
plate.
6. Cook until the center of the crepe is set and the bottom is nicely
browned (lift up an edge with a wooden spatula to check), about
45 seconds.
7. Using the wooden spatula, lift and flip the crepe over. Cook on second
side until nicely browned. Fill and fold according to recipe directions or
transfer to a cooling rack. Repeat with the remaining batter, adjusting
the heat and oiling the pan as needed.

APPLE-FILLED CREPES WITH CARAMEL SAUCE
Here’s a delicious dessert that’s
easy to whip up on a moment’s
notice with ingredients often
on hand.
Active Time: 30 min
Total Time: 45 min
Servings: 8 crepes
Ingredients:
6 tbsp unsalted butter, plus more
for baking dish
5 large apples, peeled, diced
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup dark brown sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
Pinch salt
½ cup heavy cream
8 crepes
Vanilla ice cream or whipped
cream
1. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add apples and sprinkle
with both sugars.
2. Cook, covered, over medium-high heat, until the apples begin to soften,
about 8 minutes. Uncover and continue to cook, stirring, until the apples
are soft, 10 to 12 minutes. Stir in the vanilla and salt. Let cool.
3. Heat the oven to 350°F and butter a large baking dish.
RECIPES

15
4. Arrange crepes flat on a large work surface. Using a slotted spoon,
remove the apples from the sauce and divide among crepes, placing
them on one side of each crepe. Fold each crepe over the filling to make
a half moon, then fold in half again to create a thick triangle. Arrange
filled crepes in the baking dish, overlapping them.
5. Bring the remaining sauce in the skillet to a boil. Add the heavy cream
and whisk until dark and thick. Drizzle about 1 tbsp sauce over each
crepe. Bake until the filling is very hot, about 15 minutes. Serve with
vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and any remaining caramel sauce.
