IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
• Read all instructions before use.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug, variable temperature control, or
appliance in water or any other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit correctly into the outlet, flip it. If
it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature by modifying
the plug in any way.
EXTENSION CORD USE
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled or tripping
over a longer cord.
The use of an extension cord is not recommended. However, longer extension cords may be used if care
is exercised.
• If an extension cord is used,
a. The leveled electrical rating of the cord set, or extension cord should be at least as great as
the electrical rating of the appliance.
b) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It
should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user
serviceable parts inside.

BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packing material and stickers from the product and save instruction manual.
Caution: Tear up all plastic bags as they can pose a risk to children.
• Cut and remove tie wrap located between the electric plug blades.
• Before using your new appliance, wipe the body and cooking plates with a damp cloth.
• Condition the non-stick cooking surfaces with a light coating of cooking oil. Remove any excess
oil with a cloth or paper towel.
Note: Do not use non-stick cooking spray on the cooking surface of the cooking plates.
HOW TO USE YOUR PANINI MAKER
When the appliance is operating for the first time, there may be a slight burning odor, as the heating
elements warm up. This represents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the appliance.
Allow the appliance to heat up until the odor clears.
• Place the appliance on a flat stable surface.
Caution: Because some countertop finishes are more sensitive than others, use care not to place the
appliance on surfaces where heat may cause damage.
• Plug the appliance into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet.
• The red-light indicator will come on indicating that the unit is heating.

• Adjust the desired temperature by turning the temperature setting knob clockwise. The knob
should be positioned between the MIN and MAX selections shown in the illustration above.
Please know that if the knob is outside the MIN and MAX section the unit will not heat up.
• Preheat the unit in the close position approximately 5 minutes.
Caution: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
• Use this pre-heating time to prepare your panini. When the green indicator light comes on, place
the panini on the bottom cooking plate.
Note: Always place the panini towards the rear of the bottom cooking plate.
• Close the top cooking plate.
Note: The top cooking plate has a floating hinge that is designed to evenly press down on the panini. The
weight of the top cooking plate will gradually press down the sandwich during the cooking process.
Caution: The locking storage clip should not be used to clamp down the top cooking plate when the
paninis are in the panini maker. The weight of the top cooking plate will gradually press down the sandwich
during the cooking process
• When the panini is cooked, use the handle to open the panini press and raise the top cooking
plate. Remove the panini with the help of a plastic or wooden spatula.
Caution: Never use metal tongs or a knife as these can cause damage to the nonstick coating.
• Unplug the cord and allow it to cool.

RECIPES
Adobo Skirt Steak with Herbed Garlic Sauce (Makes 4 servings)
Ingredients
For Steak:
• 2 Tbsps. brown sugar
• 1 tsp. ground coriander
• 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
• 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
• 1 Tbsp. chili powder
• 1 tsp. cumin
• 1 Tbsp. dried oregano
• ¼ tsp. cinnamon
• 4 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tsp. kosher salt
• 4 servings skirt steak, about 1 lb.
For Garlic Sauce:
• 1 garlic clove, pressed
• ½ tsp. salt
• ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
• 1 C. chopped cilantro
• ½ C. chopped fresh mint
• ¼ C. olive oil
• 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions:
Prepare steak marinade by combining first 10 ingredients in a bowl and whisking them together.
Place steaks into a large resealable plastic bag and add marinade. Shake well, making sure that steaks are evenly
covered, and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour or up to 24 hours. In the meantime, make the herbed garlic sauce
by combining all the ingredients in a blender or small food processor. Blend until smooth.
Plug in your IMUSA Panini maker and allow pre-heating for about 5 minutes. Remove each steak, and in two batches,
cook steaks in the Panini maker for 2-3 minutes for thin steaks or longer for thicker pieces (medium-rare). Serve
steak drizzled with sauce.

Country Ham and Peach Panini (Makes 4 servings)
Ingredients
• 8 ciabatta bread slices
• 4 teaspoons coarse-grained Dijon mustard
• Freshly ground pepper
• 4 (1-oz.) fontina cheese slices
• 4 ounces thinly sliced country ham
• 2 medium peaches (about 3/4 lb.), unpeeled and sliced
• 4 teaspoons honey
• 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Directions:
Spread each of 4 bread slices with 1 tsp. mustard, and sprinkle with desired amount of freshly ground pepper. Layer
with cheese, ham, peaches, and honey. Top with remaining bread slices and press together gently. Brush sandwiches
with olive oil.
Cook sandwiches, in batches, in a preheated panini press 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Serve immediately.

CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user serviceable parts.
• Unplug the cord and wait for appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
Note: The appliance is easier to clean when slightly warm.
• After each use, wipe cooking plates with a soft cloth. If cooked food is not removed by this method, reheat
the unit for 1 – 2 minutes, then brush with a sponge and a little oil or melted butter. Allow to stand
for 5 minutes then wipe with a damp cloth or paper towel. Unplug the cord and wait for appliance to cool
completely.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaners or metal pads as they can damage the non-stick coating.
• Clean the surfaces by wiping with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
• The appliance is NOT dishwasher safe.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
• Always allow the appliance to completely cool before storing.
• Wrap the electrical cord in the cord storage area below the appliance.
• Use the locking storage clip to close and store upright or flat in a dry location.
• Other than recommended cleaning, no further user maintenance should be necessary.

Cuando se utilizan electrodomésticos, siempre se deben respetar ciertas medidas de seguridad incluyendo

ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más ancho que el otro). Para reducir el riesgo de
choque eléctrico, este enchufe entra en un contacto polarizado de una sola manera. Si el enchufe no entra
correctamente, inviértalo. Si aún así no encaja, busque la ayuda de un electricista calificado. No intente
hacerle ninguna modificación al enchufe.
USO DE UN CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN
El producto viene con un cable corto de suministro de potencia para reducir el riesgo que resulta de
enredarse o tropezarse con un cable más largo.

Antes de Usar por Primera Vez
• Retire todo el material de empaque y las calcomanías adheridas al producto y conserve el manual
de instrucciones.
• Advertencia: Rompa todas las bolsas de plástico ya que pueden representar un riesgo para los
niños.
• Corte y retire la banda plástica que pasa por los contactos del enchufe.
• Antes de usar el equipo, limpie toda la superficie y las parrillas con un paño húmedo.
• Acondicione las superficies antiadherentes de las parrillas con una ligera capa de aceite de cocina.
Retire el exceso de aceite con un paño o toalla de papel.
Nota: No utilice aceite para cocinar en aerosol sobre la superficie de las parrillas.
COMO USAR SU SANDWICHERA PARA PANINI
• Cuando utilice el producto por primera vez, puede producirse un ligero olor a quemado mientras la
resistencia se calienta. Esto no representa ningún tipo de peligro para el usuario y no significa que
el aparato tenga algún defecto.
• Coloque el producto sobre una superficie plana y estable.
Advertencia: Debido a que el terminado de ciertos mostradores pueden ser afectados más que otros,
asegúrese de no colocar el equipo sobre superficies susceptibles al calor.
• Enchufe en una toma de corriente estándar de 120 voltios de corriente alterna.

• Ajuste la temperatura deseada girando la perilla de control de temperatura en el sentido de las
agujas del reloj. La perilla debe colocarse entre las selecciones MIN y MAX que se muestran en la
ilustración de arriba. Tenga en cuenta que, si la perilla está fuera de la sección MIN y MAX, la unidad
no se calentará.
• Con la unidad cerrada precaliente durante 5 minutos.
Advertencia: Cuidado con tocar la superficie, la temperatura que alcanzará es alta.
• Aproveche este tiempo para preparar su panini. Cuando la luz verde se encienda, coloque el panini
dentro de la sandwichera sobre la parrilla inferior.
Nota: Siempre coloque el panini hacia la parte de atrás de la parrilla inferior.
• Lentamente baje la parrilla superior.
• Nota: La parrilla tiene una bisagra flotante para presionar la comida de forma pareja. El peso de la
parrilla superior presionará gradualmente el sándwich durante el proceso de cocción.
• Advertencia: La posición de cierre no debe ser utilizada para cerrar la parrilla superior cuando los
paninis están dentro de la sandwichera.
• Cuando el panini esté listo, utilice el asa para abrir la sandwichera. Retire el panini con la ayuda de
una espátula de madera o plástico.
Advertencia: Nunca use pinzas de metal o un cuchillo, ya que pueden causar daños en el recubrimiento
antiadherente.
• Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe.

RECETAS
• Adobo Arrachera con salsa de ajo y hierbas (4 porciones)
• Ingredientes
• Para Bistec:
• 2 cucharadas. azúcar morena
• 1 cucharadita. cilantro molido
• 1 cucharada. jugo de limon
• 1 cucharada. vinagre de vino tinto
• 1 cucharada. chile en polvo
• 1 cucharadita. comino
• 1 cucharada. Orégano seco
• ¼ cucharadita. canela
• 4 dientes de ajo picados
• 1 cucharadita. sal kosher
• 4 porciones de churrasco, aproximadamente 1 lb.
Para Salsa De Ajo:
• 1 diente de ajo, prensado
• ½ cucharadita. salté
• ¼ cucharadita. pimienta negra
• 1 C. cilantro picado
• ½ C. de menta fresca picada
• ¼ C. de aceite de oliva
• 2 cucharadas. jugo de limón
Direcciones:
Prepare el adobo de carne combinando los primeros 10 ingredientes en un tazón y batiéndolos juntos.
Coloque los filetes en una bolsa de plástico con cierre grande y agregue la marinada. Agite bien,
asegurándose de que los filetes estén cubiertos de manera uniforme y deje marinar en el refrigerador
durante 1 hora o hasta 24 horas. Mientras tanto, prepare la salsa de ajo con hierbas combinando todos
los ingredientes en una licuadora o un pequeño procesador de alimentos. Mezclar hasta que esté suave.

• Enchufe su máquina IMUSA Panini y permita el precalentamiento durante aproximadamente 5
minutos. Retire cada filete y, en dos lotes, cocine los filetes en la máquina para hacer panini durante
2-3 minutos para filetes finos o más largos para trozos más gruesos (medio raro). Sirva el filete
rociado con salsa.
Panini de Jamón y Melocotón (Rinde 4 porciones)
Ingredientes
• • 8 rebanadas de pan de chapata
• • 4 cucharaditas de mostaza Dijon de grano grueso
• • Pimienta recién molida
• • 4 rebanadas de queso fontina (1 onza)
• • 4 onzas de jamón campero en rodajas finas
• • 2 duraznos medianos (aproximadamente 3/4 lb.), sin pelar y en rodajas
• • 4 cucharaditas de miel
• • 1 cucharada de aceite de oliva virgen extra
Direcciones:
Extienda cada una de las 4 rebanadas de pan con 1 cucharadita. mostaza y espolvorear con la cantidad
deseada de pimienta recién molida. Capa con queso, jamón, duraznos y miel. Cubra con las rebanadas
de pan restantes y presione suavemente. Unte los sándwiches con aceite de oliva.
Cocine los sándwiches, en lotes, en un panini precalentado, presione de 3 a 4 minutos o hasta que estén
dorados y el queso se derrita. Servir inmediatamente.

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
Este producto no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor.
• Desconecte el cable del tomacorriente. Espere que el aparato se enfríe por completo antes de
limpiarlo.
Nota: La unidad es más fácil de limpiar cuando está un poco caliente.
• Después de cada uso, limpie las parrillas con un paño suave. Si los residuos no se eliminan
mediante este método, recaliente la unidad durante 1 ó 2 minutos, después limpie con una esponja
y un poco de aceite o mantequilla derretida. Deje reposar durante 5 minutos y luego limpie con un
paño húmedo o toalla de papel. Desconecte el cable del tomacorriente y espere que la unidad se
enfríe por completo.
• No utilice limpiadores abrasivos o almohadillas metálicas, ya que pueden dañar el recubrimiento
antiadherente.
• Limpie la superficie exterior con un paño húmedo y seque bien con un paño suave.
• La unidad no es apta para el lavaplatos automático.
ALMACENAMIENTO Y MANTENIMIENTO
• Siempre deje enfriar completamente la unidad antes de guardarla.
• Guarde el cable eléctrico en el área que se encuentra debajo de la unidad.
