Connecting the hob to the mains power supply
Thishobmustbeconnectedtothemainspowersupplyonlybyasuitablyqualifiedperson.
Beforeconnectingthehobtothemainspowersupply,checkthat:
1.thedomesticwiringsystemissuitableforthepowerdrawnbythehob.
2.thevoltagecorrespondstothevaluegivenintheratingplate
3.thepowersupplycablesectionscanwithstandtheloadspecifiedontheratingplate.
Toconnectthehobtothemainspowersupply,donotuseadapters,reducers,orbranchingdevices,astheycancause
overheatingandfire.
Thepowersupplycablemustnottouchanyhotpartsandmustbepositionedsothatitstemperaturewillnotexceed75˚Catanypoint.
Checkwithanelectricianwhetherthedomesticwiringsystemissuitablewithoutalterations.Anyalterationsmustonlybemade
byaqualifiedelectrician.
Thepowersupplyshouldbeconnectedincompliancewiththerelevantstandard,orasingle-polecircuitbreaker.themethodof
connectionisshownbelow.

Heat Settings

CookingGuidelines
Takecarewhenfryingastheoilandfatheatupveryquickly,Atextremelyhightermperaturesoilandfatwillignite
spontaneouslyandthispresentsaseriousfirerisk.
Care and cleaning
1. Everyday soiling on glass (fingerprints, marks, stains left by food of non-sugary spillovers on the glass).
1)Switchoffthepowertothecooktop.

Applyacooktopcleanerwhiletheglassisstillwarm(butnothot!)

Rinseandwipedrywithacleanclothorpapertowel.

Switchthepowertothecooktopbackon.
Whenthepowertothecooktopisswitchedoff,therewillbenohotsurfaceindicationbutthecookingzonesmay
stillbehot!Takeextremecare.
Heavy-dutyorsomenylonscourersandharsh/abrasivecleaningagentsmayscratchtheglasssurface,soplease
docheckthattheyaresuitableforinductionhobcarebeforeuse.
Neverleavecleaningresidueonthecooktop:theglassmaybecomestained.
2. Boil-overs, melts and hot sugary spills on the glass
Removetheseimmediatelywithapaletteknifeorrazorbladescrapersuitableforinductionglasscooktopsbut
bewareofhotcookingzonesurfaces:
1).Switchoffthepowertothecooktopviatheisolationswitch.
2).Holdthebladeorutensilata30°angleandscrapethesoilingorspilltoacoolareaofthecooktop.
3).Cleanthesoilingorspillupwithadishclothorpapertowel.
4).Followsteps2to4foreverydaysoilingonglassabove.
Removestainsleftbymeltsandsugaryfoodorspilloversassoonaspossible.Iflefttocoolontheglass,they
maybedifficulttoremoveorevenpermanentlydamagetheglasssurface.
Cuthazard:whenthesafetycoverisretracted,usewithextremecareandalwaysstoresafelyandoutofreach
ofchildren.
3. Spillovers on the touch controls
1).Switchoffthepowertothecooktop.
2).Soakupthespill.
3).Wipethetouchcontrolareawithacleandampspongeorcloth.
4).Wipetheareacompletelydrywithapapertowel.
5).Switchthepowertothecooktopbackon.
Thecooktopmaybeepandturnitselfoff,andthetouchcontrolsmaynotfunctionwhilethereisliquidonthem.
Makesureyouwipethetouchcontrolareadrybeforeturningthecooktopbackon.

Hints and Tips
1. The induction hob cannot be turned on.
Makesuretheinductionhobisconnectedtothepowersupplyandthatitisswitchedon.
Checkwhetherthereisapoweroutageinyourhomeorlocalarea.Ifyouvecheckedeverythingandtheproblempersists,
callaqualifiedtechnician.
2. The touch controls are unresponsive.
Thecontrolsarelocked:Unlockthecontrols.Seesectionusingyourinductioncooktopforinstructions.
3. The touch controls are difficult to operate.
Theremaybeaslightfilmofwateroverthecontrolsoryoumaybeusingthetipofyourfingerwhentouchingthecontrols:
Makesurethetouchcontrolareaisdryandusetheballofyourfingerwhentouchingthecontrols.
6. The induction hob makes a low humming noise when used on a high heat setting.
Thisiscausedbythetechnologyofinductioncooking:Thisisnormal,thenoiseshouldquietendownordisappear
completelywhenyoudecreasetheheatsetting.
7. Fan noise coming from the induction hob.
Acoolingfanbuiltintoyourinductionhobhascomeontopreventtheelectronicsfromoverheating.Itmaycontinuetorun
evenafteryouveturnedtheinductionhoboff:Thisisnormalandneedsnoaction.Donotswitchthepowertothe
inductionhoboffatthewallwhilethefanisrunning.
8. Pans do not become hot and appears in the display.
Theinductionhobcannotdetectthepanbecauseitisnotsuitableforinductioncooking.Theinductionhobcannotdetect
thepanbecauseitistoosmallforthecookingzoneornotproperlycentredonit:Usecookwaresuitableforinduction
cooking.SeesectionChoosingtheRightCookware.
Centrethepanandmakesurethatitsbasematchesthesizeofthecookingzone.
9. The induction hob or a cooking zone has turned itself off unexpectedly, a tone sounds and an error code is
displayed (typically alternating with one or two digits in the cooking timer display).
Technicalfault:Pleasenotedowntheerrorlettersandnumbers,switchthepowertotheinductionhoboffatthewall,and
contactaqualifiedtechnician.
4. The glass is being scratched.
Tough-edgedcookware.Unsuitable,abrasivescourerorcleaningproductsbeingused:Usecookwarewithflatand
smoothbases.SeeChoosingtheRightCookwareandCareandCleaningforfurtheradvice.
5. Some pans make crackling or clicking noises.
Thismaybecausedbytheconstructionofyourcookware(layersofdifferentmetalsvibratingdifferently):Thisisnormal,
thenoiseshouldquietendownordisappearcompletely.
Failure Display and Inspection
Ifanabnormalitycomesup,theinductionhobwillautomaticallyentertheprotectivestateanddisplay
correspondingprotectivecodes:

Cutouttheworksurfaceaccordingtothesizesshowninthedrawing.
Forthepurposeofinstallationanduse,aminimumof5cmspaceshouldbepreservedaroundthehole.
Ensurethethicknessoftheworksurfaceisatleast35mm.Pleaseselectaheat-resistantworksurfacematerialtoavoid
deformationcausedbytheheatradiationfromthehotplate.
Theabovearethejudgmentandinspectionofcommonfailures.
Pleasedonotdisassembletheunitbyyourselftoavoidanydangerordamagetotheinductionhob.
Makesuretheinductionhobiswellventilatedandtheairinletandoutletarenotblocked.Ensuretheinductionhobisingood
workingorder.
Note:Thedistancebetweenthehotplateandthecupboardaboveshouldbe650-750mm.
Thehobhasaspecialsealwhichpreventsliquidfromenteringthecabinet.Followtheseinstructionsinordertocorrectlyapply
thisseal:Detachthesealsfromtheirbacking.Turnthehoboverandcorrectlypositionthesealundertheedgeofthehobso
thattheouterpartofthesealperfectlymatchestheouteredgeofthehob.Fixthesealtothehobevenlyandsecurely,pressing
itfirmlyinplace.
Note: There must be a 560x5mm opening in the front
(position E) to dissipate the air.
After installation, ensure the airflow opening is not
blocked by the worktop.
Before you install the hob, make sure that:
•Theworksurfaceissquareandlevel,andthatnostructuralunitsinterferewiththespacerequirements.
•Theworksurfaceismadeofaheat-resistantmaterial.
•Ifthehobisinstalledaboveanoven,theovenhasabuilt-incoolingfan.
•Theinstallationwillcomplywithallclearancerequirementsandapplicablestandardsandregulations.
•Asuitableisolatingswitchprovidingfulldisconnectionfromthemainspowersupplyisincorporatedinthepermanentwiring,
mountedandpositionedtocomplywiththelocalwiringrulesandregulations.
Theisolatingswitchmustbeofanapprovedtypeandprovidea3mmairgapcontactseparationinallpoles(orinallactive
[phase]conductorsifthelocalwiringrulesallowforthisvariationoftherequirements).
•Theisolatingswitchwillbeeasilyaccessibleafterinstallation.
•Youconsultlocalbuildingauthoritiesandby-lawsifindoubtregardinginstallation.
•Youuseheat-resistantmaterials(suchasceramictiles)forthewallsurfacessurroundingthehob.
When you have installed the hob, make sure that:
•Thepowersupplycableisnotaccessiblethroughcupboarddoorsor
drawers.
•Thereisadequateflowoffreshairfromoutsidethecabinetstothebase
ofthehob.
•Ifthehobisinstalledaboveadrawerorcupboardspace,thehobbottom
temperaturemaybetoohigh,inordertopreventhandorotherflammable
/combustioncontact,athermalprotectionbarrierisinstalledbelowthe
baseofthehob.
•Theisolatingswitchiseasilyaccessible.
Before locating the fixing brackets
Theunitshouldbeplacedonastable,smoothsurfacetoprevent
damage.Donotapplyforceontothecontrolsprotrudingfromthehob.
Adjusting the bracket position
Fixthehobontheworksurfacebyscrewing2bracketsonthebottomofhob(seepicture)afterinstallation.
Cautions
1.Theinductionhotmustbeinstalledbyqualifiedpersonnelortechnicians.
2.Thehobmustnotbeinstalleddirectlyaboveadishwasher,fridge,freezer,washingmachineoradryerasthehumiditymay
damagethehobelectronics.
3.Theinductionhotmustbeinstalledinawaythatbetterheatradiationcanbeensuredtoenhanceitsreliability.
4.Thewallandinducedheatingzoneabovetheworksurfacemustwithstandheatgeneratedbythehob.
5.Toavoidanydamage,thesandwichlayerandadhesivemustberesistanttoheat.
Ifthecableisdamagedortobereplaced,theoperationmustbecarriedoutthebyaserviceagentorasuitablyqualified
professional.
Iftheapplianceisbeingconnecteddirectlytothemains,anomnipolarcircuitbreakermustbeinstalledwithaminimum
openingof3mmbetweencontacts.
Theinstallermustensurethatthecorrectelectricalconnectionhasbeenmadeandthatitiscompliantwithallapplicable
standardsandsafetyregulations.
Thecablemustnotbebentorcompressed.
Thecablemustbecheckedregularlyandreplacedbyauthorisedtechniciansonly.
