This Power Outlet Strip when properly installed provides the Patient Equipment Grounding
point “redundant ground” via dual ground connection to the duplex electrical wall outlet.

This HCOA and its specifications have been developed from a new UL 2930 standard. If the installer, technician or
electrician responsible for the proper use and installation of this product has not read and become familiar with this
new standard, we strongly encourage them to do so.
An HCOA is intended to be connected temporarily to a permanently-installed branch circuit Hospital Grade
receptacle outlet to form a part of a medical system and where the medical equipment has been verified as having
touch and leakage current suitably low for patient care use.
An HCOA is not intended to be series-connected (“daisy-chained”) to other HCOAs, Relocatable Power Taps,
Furniture Power Distribution Units or Extension Cords.
An HCOA is not intended to be placed directly upon the floor of a patient care space.
An HCOA is not intended to be connected via a grounding adapter or via a current tap to a receptacle outlet.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons:
Use this HCOA only for its intended use as described in these instructions and UL 2930 standard.
Never operate this HCOA if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been
dropped or damaged, or dropped into water.
Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
