REPLACEMENT PWA BOARD
Encapsulated Electronic RO System
Tools required:
Long thin-bladed screwdriver
Phillips head screwdriver
1. Unplug the phone style cord that leads to the
faucet.
2. Remove the coin battery (A) and set aside.
3. Two tabs hold the electronics cover (B) in place.
Reach under the cove and pull back the tab near
the reset button (C). Next insert the thin screwdriver
blade between the black phone jack and the cover
and push outward to release the second tab.
4. Remove the screw (D) that attaches the elec-
tronics board to the manifold. Remove the old PWA
board (E) from the support pegs and gold probes.
Use care to avoid bending the four gold probes
that are mounted in the manifold by pulling the
board straight up to remove. Do the same with the
smaller auxillary board (F) attached to the main
board with a ribbon cable.
5. To prevent static damage, touch a grounded
surface before opening the new electronics board.
Position the new electronics board on the manifold
making sure that the support pegs and gold probes
are aligned with their proper holes on both boards.
6. Secure both boards to the manifold with screws
provided.
7. Snap the electronics cover into place.
8. Replace the coin battery.
9. Reconnect the phone style cord into the phone
jack.
