TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS
On the back of the WDQM mount there is a button that lets you adjust the support feet of the holder. It
is indicated below by number 6 on the illustration. Customers need to ensure that this is pressed to
lower the support feet. The charging coils on the phone need meet with the charging coils on the
mount. This is the most common reason for the phone not charging when using the WDQM.
Wireless charging is unfortunately slower than a direct USB cable charging method. Customers are most
likely using navigation and music apps as well as possibly running other applications in the background.
This will of course continue to drain the battery of the phone. Other factors that
affect wireless charging speeds are the temperature of the phone as well as the thickness of the case
the phone may have. Since wireless charging utilizes magnetic induction to generate power, a dense or
thick case may ultimately block this functionality and prohibit charging altogether.
Unfortunately, by switching to wireless charging you do trade speed for convenience, and this is just to
the technology and nature of wireless charging. I've included a couple articles below which give more in
depth information and comparisons between the wireless charging rates and wired charging.
