If

handles on
your refrigerator look
like these, follow instructions on pages
19 through 22.
If they look different, see pages 15 through
18.
Note: Door swing on models with
Take-out Counters cannot
be reversed.

When reversing the door swing:
Read the instructions all the way through
before starting.
Handle parts carefully to avoid scratching
paint.
Set screws down by their related parts to
avoid using them in the wrong places.
Provide a non-scratching work surface for
the doors.
Important: Once you begin, do not move cabinet until door-swing reversal is completed.

These instructions are for changing the hinges
from the right side to the left side.
If you ever want to change the hinges back to the
right side, follow these same instructions (merely
reverse all references to left and right).
TOOLS REQUIRED
3/8”
socket and ratchet
Phillim screwdriver
(a 6-point socket is

5/16” hex socket driver
recommended)
T20 or T25 Torxdriver,
Masking tape
whichever your model
Putty knife or thin-blade
requires
screwdriver
GENERAL
a. Unplug the refrigerator from its electrical outlet.
b. Empty all door shelves, including the dairy
compartment.
REMOVE FREEZER DOOR
a. Tape door shut with masking tape.
b. With Torxdriver,
remove 2
Torx
screws
that hold the top hinge to
cabinet.
c. Lift hinge (and shim
glued to it) straight up
to free hinge pin from
socket in top of door.
d.
Remove tape, tilt
door away from
cabinet and lift it to free

its bottom socket from
hinge pin on center
hinge bracket.

REMOVE FRESH FOOD DOOR
a. Tape door shut with
PLASTIC WASHER
masking tape.
b. Remove the hinge
pin with a 3/8” socket
and ratchet.

c. Remove tape and tilt HINGE
door away from
PIN

save washer on hinge
pin.
d. Lift door straight
up to free its bottom
socket from pin in
bottom hinge bracket.
