Limescale:
If you live in a particularly hard water area, we recommend using bottled or distilled
water.
WARNING: Never pour liquid cleaners for eliminating calcium into the water tank.
De-Scaling:
IMPORTANT! Failure to de-scale your steamer may invalidate your guarantee.
If you do not de-scale your steamer regularly, the build-up of limescale may result
in the following:
The unit taking longer to heat up.
Damage to the heating element.
To Minimise Scale Build-Up:
Empty the unit of water after each use.
Do not allow water to stand in the unit overnight.
Use filtered water instead of tap water to help reduce limescale build up.
How To De-Scale:
Any regular de-scaling agent may be used, provided the relevant instructions
are observed. To avoid spillage, DO NOT overfill the unit if the de-scaling agent
causes the water to foam.
To clean the unit thoroughly of any de-calcification residue; let it go through
several heating-up cycles using clean water with each cycle. Rinse the unit with
clean water afterwards.
It is advisable to remove limescale deposits from the unit at regular intervals.
