Sub-Transmission Oil
The recommended sub-transmission oil is the same as the engine oil
(page 141).
Refer to Safety Precautions on page 115.
Check the sub-transmission oil level each day before operating your
Honda SXS and add, if needed.
1.
Park your Honda SXS on a firm, level surface. Shift the shift select
lever into the park (P) position.
2.
Remove the rear seat (page 131).
3.
Remove the seat under lid.
4.
Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick from the transmission cover and
wipe it clean.
5.
Insert the dipstick without screwing it in, then remove the oil fill
cap/dipstick and check the oil level. The oil level should be
between the upper level mark and the lower level mark on the oil
fill cap/dipstick.
