Basic Operation
Selecting TOW/HAUL Mode
TOW/HAUL mode:
Your Honda SXS has TOW/HAUL mode.
When using the TOW/HAUL switch, shift the shift select lever to the
high-range (H) or low-range (L) position, and select AT mode.
When TOW/HAUL mode is turned on, the TOW/HAUL indicator
comes on.
Use high-range in the following situations:
• Driving forward at mid speed with moderate passenger/cargo/
trailer loading and/or moderate hills.
Use low-range in the following situations:
• Driving at a constant low speed (5mph [8 km/h] or below).
• Driving with heavy passenger/cargo/trailer loading.
• Ascending or descending steep hills.
• Driving over large obstacles.
