Main cycle
You can wash laundry items more thoroughly by
selecting the wash cycle that best suits the type of items
to be washed. Turn the cycle selector knob in either
direction to select the desired cycle. When you select a
wash cycle, the light for the corresponding wash cycle
will turn on. See page 22, Basic operation, for more
details on operating methods.
Reduce laundry allergen, A//e_giene T_<
This cycle is a powerful, high temperature cycle
designed specifically to reduce certain allergens.
_@ NOTE
. Selecting the Allergiene TM cycle automatically
incorporates steam into the wash cycle.
. The Allergiene TM cycle can significantly reduce
allergens in bedding and clothing.
. The Allergiene TM cycle helps reduce dust mite
populations and helps reduce allergens.
. Due to the higher energy and temperatures
used, the Allergiene TM cycle is not recommended
for wool, silk, leather, or any other delicate or
temperature sensitive or non-colorfast items.
Reduce laundry bacteria, Sanitary
This wash cycle helps to remove heavily soiled on
laundry through high temperature.
For white fabrics, BNght Whites TM
This cycle is for washing white items only.
Blankets or bulky items, BuHky/Large
This cycle is for washing blankets or bulky items.
Heavy soiled items, Hea_gy Duty
This cycle is for washing heavily soiled laundry through
more powerful tub rotation.
Normal items, Co,on/NoN'ha!
Use this cycle to wash all normal items, except delicate
fabrics such as wool or silk.

' . If you press the Power button and the the Start/
Pause button without selecting another cycle, the
' washing machine defaults to the Cotton/Normal

For towels, _owe_s
This cycle is for washing towels.
Wrinkle-free items, ReFFI'L Press
This cycle is for washing items such as wrinkle-free
clothes or tablecloths to minimize wrinkles.
Items Labeled Wool or Hand-Washable,
Hand WashHVool
This cycle is for washing shrinkable woolen or hand-
washable items requiring delicate care. Only wash
woolen items that are labeled machine washable or
hand-washable.

. Laundry weight should be less than 8 pound (3.6
kg) to prevent damage to the fabric.
. Use only natural or wool-safe detergent harmless
to fabrics and load 1/2 of the normal amount of
detergent.
. The Hand WashNVool cycle uses a gentle tumble
rotation angle and low speed spin for the ultimate
fabric care.
Sheer items, Delicates
This cycle is for washing lingerie or sheer and lacy
clothes which can easily be damaged.
Quick wash, Speed Wash
Use the Speed Wash cycle to quickly wash lightly soiled
clothing and small loads. For high wash and rinse
efficiency, washing small loads of 2-3 lightly soiled
garments is recommended.

. Use only a little detergent in this cycle. If you want
I more rinsing, you can add an extra rinse by using
/ the option button. _
For a few items, SMBII Load
This cycle is for normally soiled and small loads.
Drain and spin only, Drain+Spi_s
This cycle is for draining and spinning without the
wash and rinse cycle, or for removing the load from the
washing machine in the middle of the cycle.
