LIMITED WARRANTY FOR NEW TECUMSEH ENGINES
AND ELECTRONIC IGNITION MODULES
For the time period shown below from the date ofpurchase and subjecttothe exceptions and limitations descnbed herein, Tecumseh Power Company will, at its optionas
the exclusive remedy, either repair or replace for the odginal purchaser, free of charge, any pod of any new Tecur_seh engine which isfound, upon examination by any
Authorized Tecurr_seh Servicing Ouitof or by Tecumseh's factoPJin Grafton, Wisconsin, to be DEFECTIVE IN MATERIAL ANDIOR WORKMANSHIP, This Limited
Warranty DOES NOT COVER (i) any Tecumseh engine or part(s) thereof usedto power any veblde in competitive racingand/or used on any commercial or rental track, or
(ii) defects or dan_ge caused by alterations or modifications of new Tecumseh engines or parts or by normal wear, accidents improper maintenance, improper use or
abuse of the product, or failure to follow the instructions contained in an Instr_c_JonManual for the operation of the new Tecumseh engine or pad. The cost of normal
maintenance or replacement of service items which are nat defective shall be paid for bythe original purchaser. At the time wan-anty service is requested, evidence must
be presented of the date of purchase by the odginal purchaser, Any charge for making service calls and/or for transporting any engine or pod(s) thereof to and from the
)laCewhere the inspection and/or warranty work is performed is payable solely by the purchaser, The purchaser is responsible for any damage or lossincun_d in
connection withthe transportation of any engine or pad(s) thereof submitted for inspection and/or warranty work, WARRANTY SERVICE CAN ONLY BE PERFORMED

(5) For purposes of this wan'anty palicy, "commerctal use" shall mean all cther uses, including use for commeralal, income produsing,or rectal purposes.
(6) The engine warraaty cofegocj of your engine can be determined by review of the engine model number on tbe =beportaat Engine ioformation, decal. One leder in the
engine modal number willbe surrounded by parenthesis (A), (B), (C), (D), (E), (H) (K) or (M) and that letteris your engine warranty catagoq/designation.
(7) Qualitication for three (3) year consumer use warranty under engine warranty category (M) may be datermined by ncta0on of an (M) designation on the=lmporiant

THiS EXPRESS WARRANTY IS SUPPLEMENTED BY THE TECUMSEH CALIFORNIA EMISSION CONTROL WARRANTY STATEMENT, g any.
THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRAWRES. Neither Tecumseh nor any of itsaffiliates makes any warranties, representations, or
promises, written or oral, asto the quality of the engine or any of its pads, other than as set forth herein. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MARKETARIUTY,
MERCHANTABlUTY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TO THE EXTENT THAT EITHER MAy APPLY TO ANY TECUMSEH ENGINE OR PART(S)
]3-1EREOF, SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO "IHE PERIODS OF THE EXPRESS WARRAN'RES SHOWN IN THE WARRANTY PERIOD CHART ABOVE AND TO
THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUDED. IN NO EVENT WILL TECUMSEB BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ANDIOR EXPENSES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY LOSS OF TIME, INCONVENIENCE,
LOSS OF UNIT USE OR ANY COST OR EXPENSE OF SUBSTITUTE UNITS DURING PERIODS OF MALFUNCTION OR NON-USE. Some states do notallow
limitationson how long an implied warranty lasts orthe exclusion orlimitation of incidental or consequential damages, sothe above limitation(s) or exsiusion(s) may not
apply to you. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights which vary from state-to=state.

respect to any Tecumseh product or parts. The seller or dealer of a Tecumseh Product or part has no authonty, whatsoever, to make any representatJonsor promises on
