About washer features.
NOTE: Not all features are available on all washer models.
If the SIGNAL option is selected,
a signal will sound just before the end of the cycle. This
reminds you to remove the clothes to avoid excess wrinkling before drying. If you selected
EXTRA RINSE
the signal will sound at the end of the cycle and at the end of the
EXTRA RINSE.
The EXTENDED SPIN option
is recommended for washable woolens and sweaters. It will
extend the spin without stretching the knit.
When you use extra detergent or bleach to clean heavily soiled clothes, you may want to use
the
EXTRA RINSE
option. This option provides a second deep cold rinse in the
COTTONS
REGULAR
and
EASY CARE
(on some models) cycles. Select
EXTRA RINSE.
The washer will
pause for a few minutes before the
EXTRA RINSE
begins.
Selecting RESET OPTIONS
cancels all options that have been selected.

SensorWash
The
SensorWash senses the incoming water temperature and adjusts the fill water to obtain a
more precise temperature range for all three wash temperatures.
You may select cold, warm or
hot. For example, in a Cold Wash selection, some warm water may be added to reach a
temperature needed to better dissolve detergents.
Often, detergents are not completely
dissolved in very cold water, especially in cooler climates.
On those models
with a
SensorWash
indicator light, the light is illuminated during the fill
cycles of wash cycles and during the fill cycle of a
WARM
rinse cycle. The light does not
illuminate at any other time.
NOTE:
The
SensorWash
will not adjust the fill on
WARM WASH
unless the washer lid is
closed.
Be sure to start the washer after the lid is closed.
Spot Soak
When you open the washer lid and press the
SPOT SOAK
button, you will see a short stream
of cold water.
Open the washer lid.
Press the
SPOT SOAK
button. (You will see a short stream of water.)
Dampen your soiled garment with the
SPOT SOAK
option and rub your favorite
pretreatment product into soiled area.
NOTE: The SPOT SOAK option will not work if
the washer lid is down
the washer tub is filling
the water has already reached the level
you selected.
