The patient is also auser of the device.
The patient may compare values and change batteries under normal conditions,
and may carry out maintenance of the device and its accessories only according
to the instructions in this usersmanual.
To prevent erroneous measurements, do not expose the device to strong
electromagnetic fields that emit an interference signal or to a fast electric
transition / burst signal.
This device and cuff is suitable for use in the domestic conditions of the patient.
The patient should not use the device if they suffer from an allergy to polyester,
nylon or plastic.
The cuff is in contact with the patient’sskin during use. The materials from which
the cuff is made were tested and meet the directives ISO 10993-5:2009 and ISO
10993-10:2010. The cuff should not cause any potential irritation or undesirable
reaction.
If not feeling well during measurement, for example you feel pain in your upper
arm or another pain, press the START/STOP button to immediately release the air
in the cuff. Release the cuff and remove it from the arm.
As soon as the pressure in the cuff reaches 40 kPa (300 mmHg), the air will be
automatically released. In the event that air is not automatically released when
apressure of 40 kPa (300 mmHg) is reached, release the cuff, remove it from your
arm and press the START/STOP button to stop air from being fed into the cuff.
Before use, check that the device works safely and is not damaged. Inspect the
device. Do not use the device if it exhibits any signs of damage. In the event that
the device is used when damaged, this could cause serious injuries, inaccurate
measurement or aserious hazard.
Do not wash the cuff in awashing machine or dishwasher!
The lifetime of the cuff depends on the number of times it has been washed,
condition of the skin and storage conditions. Standard lifetime is approx. 10,000
fittings.
