Heat Shield Cover Removal
(SXS1000M5P/M5D only)
Refer to Safety Precautions on page 137.
The heat shield cover must be removed to access the emergency
valve and emergency lever and to check the engine number.
Removal
1.
Lift the cargo bed (page 94).
2.
Remove the rear mudguard lid (page 155).
3.
Remove the clips (page 158).
4.
Remove the heat shield cover.
Installation
1.
Install the heat shield cover.
2.
Install the clips.
3.
Install the rear mudguard lid.
4.
Lower the cargo bed.
