• Make sure bottoms of pans are clean and dry before using.
Heating a soiled pan may leave a stain on the cooktop.
• Avoid spillovers. Use pans with tall sides.
• Do not cook food directly on glass ceramic cooktop.
BURNER BOWLS (on some models)
Chrome
• Solution of 1/2cup (125 mL) ammonia to 1 gallon (3.75 L)
water:
Soak for 20 minutes, then scrub with mildly abrasive cleanser.
• Oven cleaner:
Follow product label instructions.
• Mildly abrasive cleanser:
Scrub with wet pad.
• Do not put in oven during Self-Cleaning cycle.
Porcelain enamel only, not chrome
• Dishwasher
• Do not put in oven during Self-Cleaning cycle.
CONTROL PAN EL
Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleansers.
Do not spray cleaner directly on panel.
• Sponge and warm, soapy water.
• Paper towel and mild liquid soap.
NOTE: Remember to replace support, gasket, control panel and
control knobs after cleaning.
COOKTOP VENT
Clean often to prevent grease build-up.
Vent cover and Filter:
• Warm, soapy water.
• Sponge.
• Dishwasher.
OVEN CAVITY
Food spills containing sugar or milk products should be cleaned
when oven cools, as soon as possible after happening. At high
temperatures, sugar reacts with porcelain and staining, etching,
pitting or faint white spots can result.
Self-Cleaning models
• Self-Cleaning cycle:
See "Self-Cleaning Cycle" section.
Standard-Cleaning models
For easier cleaning, the oven door can be removed according to
the "Removable Oven Door" section.
• Oven cleaner:
Make sure room is well-ventilated. Do not let cleaner contact
gasket, thermostat or exterior surfaces because damage will
occur. Line the floor with newspaper. Follow product label
instructions.
OVEN RACKS
• Steel wool pad
• On Self-Cleaning models, the Self-Cleaning cycle:
See "Self-Cleaning Cycle" section first regarding racks.
BROILER PAN AND GRID
Do not clean in the Self-Cleaning cycle.
• Solution of 1/2cup (125 mL) ammonia to 1 gallon (3.75 L)

pad.
• Oven cleaner:
Place pan and grid on newspaper. Spray with oven cleaner.
Follow product label instructions.
• Mildly abrasive cleanser:
Scrub with wet scouring pad.
• Dishwasher
The control panel glass can be removed for easier cleaning. Do
not clean the electronics behind the glass because damage can
occur.
To Remove:
1. Remove control knobs by pulling straight out.
2. Release clips.
3. Remove glass by pulling slightly up and forward.
To Replace the Fluorescent Light Tube:
1. Unplug range or disconnect power.
2. Flip up the top of the backguard.
3. Grasp both ends of the fluorescent tube.
4. Turn the tube 90° in either direction until both ends come out
of the receptacles.
5. Replace tube, replace top of the control panel.
6. Plug in range or reconnect power.
