moweron itssidemakingsurethattheairfilterand
thecarburetorareup,
2, Removebolt,bladebensupport,blade,andblade
adapterfromtheenginecrankshaft,SeeFigure5,
3, Thebladecanbe sharpenedwitha fileoron agrind=
ingwheel Donotattempttosharpenthebladewhile
itisstillon themower,Whensharpeningblade,follow
originalangleofgrind,Grindcuttingedgesequallyto
keepbladebalanced,
4, Removebladefromtheadapterfortestingbalance,
Balancethebladeona roundshaftscrewdriverto
check,Removemetalfromtheheavysideuntilit
balancesevenly,
WARNING:An unbalanced bladewill
cause excessivevibration when rotating
at high speeds. It may causedamage
to mower,and could breakcausing
personal injury.
5, Lubricatetheenginecrankshaftandtheinnersurface
ofthe bladeadapterwithNghtoil Slidetheblade
adapterontotheenginecrankshaft,Placetheblade
on theadaptersuchthat thesideoftheblademarked
"Bottom"(orwithpartnumber)facesthegroundwhen
themoweris intheoperatingposition,Makesurethat
bladeisalignedandseatedon bladeadapterflanges,
6, Placebladebensupporton theblade,Alignnotches
on thebladebellsupportwithsmallholesin blade,
Replacehexboltandtightenhexbolttotorque:450
in,Ibs,rain,,600 in,Ibs,max,
Toensuresafeoperationof yourmower,periodically
checkthebladeboltforcorrecttorque,

2, PuNup onthebeltkeeperwireand pivotit outaway
fromthedrivepulley,SeeFigure6 inset,
3, Rollthebeltoff thetransmissionpulley,Tipmower
on itssidewiththeairfilterupto accessbeltfrom
undersideofmower,SNdebeltoff ofenginepulleyand
threadthroughtheopeningin thebeltkeeperbracket,
Thenremovethebeltfromaroundthebladeby remov=
