Standard Racks
The standard racks may be cleaned by
hand widl an abrasive cleaner or steel
wool. Aider cleaning, rinse the racks with
clean wamr and &T with a clean cloth.
They may also remain in the oven
during the self:cleaning cycle without
being damaged.
If dley become hard to slide, wipe their
side edges and the oven rack supports
with cooking oil after cleaning them by
hand or in the oven. This will help
maintain the ease of sliding the racks
in and out of the oven.
Extension Rack
Porcelain enamel surfaces of the
extension rack may be cleaned by hand
with an abrasive cleaner or steel wool.
Do notuse a steel woolpad toclean
stainless steel surfaces ofthe extension
rack;it will scratch thesurface. See
StainlessSteelSurfacesin this Careand
cleaningsection.
NOTE:Donot cleanin a dishwasher
The rack may also remain in tlle oven
during tile self:cleaning cycle widlout
being damaged.
ff the rackbecomeshardto removeor
replace, wipe tlle oven rack supports
wkh cooking oil. Do not wipe cooking oil
ontheslides.
If die rack becomes difficult to slide or if
the release levers become difficult to use,
the rack may need to be lubricated using
the Graphim Lubrication shipped wkh

[_ Fully extend the rack on a ruble
or countertop. Newspaper may be
placed underneath the rack fbr easy
cleanup.

wLpeit away using a paper towel.
NOTE:Anygraphitelubricantwipedaway
mustbe replaced.

[_ Shake the graphite lubricant before
opening it. Starting with the left
slide mechanism of the rock, place
fbur (4) small drops of lubricant
on the two (2) bottom tracks of the
slide close to the bearing carriers.
Rackright-side-up
Repeat for the right slide
mechanism of the rack.
Rackright-side-up
Open and close tlle rack several
_] times to distribute tile lubricant.
[_] Replace the cap on the lubricant
and shake it again. Turnthe rack over
andrepeatsteps 3, 4,5and 6.
[_ Close the rack, mrn rack right-side-
up and place in tile oven. See

Tolubricatethe releaselevers:
Shake lubricant and apply to the moving
parts of the release leve,_ and paddle 4 l
mechanisms.
