Intercom
Intercom calls can be made between
handsets.
Note:
R When paging unit(s), the paged unit(s)
beeps for 1 minute.
R If you receive an outside call while talking
on the intercom, the interrupt tone sounds.
To finish intercom, press MOFFN. To answer
the call, press MTALK/ZN.
R To change the handset ringer volume and
ringer tone for intercom, see page 38.
Making an intercom call
1 MMENUN a MbN: “Intercom” a
MSELECTN
2 MbN: Select the desired unit or “Voice
paging”a MSELECTN
R If you select “Voice paging”, speak
into the microphone after the beep.
Your voice will be heard using the
speakers of all handsets, until a paged
party answers your page or until you
press MOFFN.
After the other party answers, the
speakerphone mode is turned on.
3 When you finish talking, press MOFFN.
Note:
R You can also use the MINTERCOMN soft
key, if displayed, to make intercom calls.
R You cannot use voice paging if other units
are in use.
Answering an intercom call
1 Press MTALK/ZN to answer the page.
2 When you finish talking, press MOFFN.
Turning auto intercom on/off
This feature allows the handset to answer
intercom calls automatically when it is called.
You do not need to press MTALK/ZN. When
this feature is set to “On”, the monitoring
handset for the baby monitor feature
(page 45) will also answer baby monitor
calls automatically. The default setting is
“Off”.
