Message Cause and remedy
D or Eappears in the
temperature display.
There is a fault.
Call the Miele Customer Service Department.
The sensor control
for the SuperFreeze
function is highlighted
in yellow.
This is not a fault. The SuperFreeze function is ac-
tivated automatically if you place a large amount of
warm food in the freezer.
To save energy, you can switch the SuperFreeze
function off yourself once the freezer reaches a
constant temperature of -18°C or colder. Monitor
the temperature in the freezer section.
The temperature display
for the freezer zone
flashes and the sym-
bol lights up on the
control panel. An alarm
will also sound.
The temperature alarm has been activated (see
“Temperature and door alarm”). The temperature in
the freezer zone has risen higher or fallen lower than
the temperature set.
This could be because:
Too much warm room air enters the freezer
when you are rearranging or taking out frozen
food.
A large amount of food has been frozen at once.
There was a power cut.
Touch the sensor control on the control panel.
The warmest temperature recorded in the freezer
zone during the alarm will flash briefly in the temper-
ature display for the freezer zone.
The symbol will go out when the temperature
reaches the correct level again. The alarm will stop.
Depending on the temperature displayed, you
should check whether food in the freezer has star-
ted to thaw or has defrosted. If it has, it should be
used as soon as possible. Defrosted food may
only be refrozen after it has been cooked.
