CLEANING
-• Clean engine, battery, seat, finish, etc.
of all foreign matter.
Keep finished surfaces arid wheels free
of all gasoline, oil, etc.
• Protect painted surfaces with automo-
tive type wax.
We do not recommend using a garden
hose to clean your tractor unless the elec-
trical system, muffler, air filter and carbure-
tor are covered to keep water out. Water
in engine can result in a shortened engine
life.
,_CAUTION: Before performing any service or adjustments:
• Depress clutch/brakepedal fullyand set parking brake.
•-.--Placemotioncontrollever in neutral (N) position.
; Place attachmentclutchin"DISENGAGED" position.
• TumJgnitionkey "OFF" and Pemovekey.
• Make sure the blades and all movingparts have completelystopped.
• Disconnectspark plugwire from spark plugand place wire where it cannotcome
in contactwithplug.
TO REMOVE MOWER
Mower will be easier to removefromthe
right side oftractor.
• Place attachment clutchin "DISEN-
GAGED_"p.osition.
• Move attachment liftlever forwardto
lower mower to its lowestposition.
• Roll belt offengine pulley.
• Disconnectclutchrodfrom clutchlever
by removingretainer spring.
• +Disconnect anti-swaybarfromchassis
bracketby removingretainerspring.
• Disconnectsuspensionarms from rear
deck brackets byremovingretainer
springs.

• Disconnectfrontlinksfrom deck by
removingretainersprings.
• Raise liftleverto raise suspension
arms. Slidemower outfrom undertrac-
tor.
IMPORTANT: If an attachmentother than
the mower deck isto be mountedon the
tractor,removethe frontlinks.
TO INSTALL MOWER
• Raise attachmentliltlever to itshighest
position.
• Slide mowerundertractorwithdis-
charge guardto rightside oftractor.
• Lower liftleverto itslowestposition.
• Installmower'in reveme order of
removalinstructions.
