Cleaningof
the Dryer
Dryer Interior and Duct: The interior ot the
appliance and exhaust duct shoukl be cleaned
once a year bv qualifed service personnel.
The Exterior: Wipe or dust al g spills or washing
compounds with a damp cloth. Diwer control
panel and finishes mav be damaged by some
latmdrv pretieam_ent soil and stain remover
products. Apply these p*oducts awav froill the
dryel: The fitbric may then be washed and dried
nommlly. Damage to your ch)'er caused by these
pro(hlcts is not covered by VOtlr Wal'I;UltV.
Do not touch the sm_ime or the Touch Screen
with shaq_ objects.
The Lint Filter: Clean the lint filter betbre each
use. Rein(we by pulling straight up. Rtm vour
fingers across the filte*: A waxy buiMup may
form on tile lint flter fi'om using drve>added
fhbfic sottener sheets. To remove this buildup,
wash the lint screen in wmm, soapy watel: Dry
thoroughly and *eplace. Do not operate the
dryer without the lint filter in place.
Vacuum the lint fl'om the d_'er lint filter area
if you notice a change in d_yer pertommnce.

Stainless Sted: To clean stainless steel stu_imes,
use a daI/lp cloth with a miM, nonabrasive
cleaner suitable f)r stainless steel sm_itces.
Remove the cleaner residue, and then d*y with
a clean cloth.
The stainless steel used to make the d*yer chum
provides the highest reliabili F available in a GE
d,we*: If the &wet drum shotfld be scratched
or dented dining nomml use, the drum will not
d
rust or corrode. These StlK[ilce blemishes will not
affect the tunction or dm'abili_ of the drum.
The ILxhaust Hood: Check with a mirror that
the inside flaps of the hood move fl'eelv when
operating. Make sure that there is no wikllite
(birds, insects, etc.) nesting inside the duct
or hood.
