Aboutthe ice and water dispenser(onsome models).
SpillShelf
ToUse the Dispenser
Select CUBED ICE _, CRUSHEDICE
or WATER_.
Press the glass gently against the top of the
dispenser cradle.
The spill shelf is not self-draining. To
reduce water spotting, the shelf and its
grille should be cleaned regularly;
If no wateris dispensedwhentherefrigeratoris
first installed,theremaybe air in thewaterline
system.Pressthedispenserarmforat least two
minutestoremovetrappedairfrom thewater
line andtofill the watersystem.Toflushout
impuritiesin thewaterline, throwawaythefirst
sixglassfulsof water.
CAUTION:Neverputfingersoranyother
objectsintotheicecrusherdischargeopening.

Dispenser Light
LIGHT
This pad turns tile night
light in tile dispenser on
and off: Tile light also
comes oil when tile
dispenser cradle is
pressed. If this light
burns out, it should be
replaced with a 6watt
12V maximum bulb.
Quick Ice (onsomemodels)

Door Alarm

on. This alarm will
sound if either door
is open for more than
3 minutes. Tile light
goes out and the
beeping stops when
you close tile dooL
Important Facts About Your Dispenser
Do not add ice from trays or bags to
tile storage draweL It may not crush or
dispense well.
Avoid overfilling glass Mill ice and use of
nanow glasses. Backed-up ice can jam file
chum or cause tile door in tile chum m
freeze slmt. If ice is blocking tile chum,
poke it through with a wooden spoon.
Beverages and foods should not be
quick-chilled in file ice storage draweL
Cans, bottles or food packages in the
storage drawer may cause tile icemaker
or attger to jam.
To keep dispensed ice flom missing
tile glass, put the ,glass close to, but not
touching, the dispenser opening.
Some crushed ice may be dispensed even
fllough you selected CUBEDICE.This
happens occasionally when a few cubes
accidentally get direcmd m the crusheL
AtYer crushed ice is dispensed, some
water may drip flom tile clmte.
Sometimes a small mound of snow will
form oil file door in file ice chute. This
condition is nomml and usually occm5
when ),oat have dispensed crushed ice
repeamdly: Tile snow will evenumlly
evapoIate.
