ovenandbroilercannotbeoperated
intheeventofapowerfailure.
Tolightthe ovenburner, turnthe
OVENTEMPknobtothedesired
temperature.Theburnershould
ignitewithin60seconds.
Wweroutage?
Aburnerinusewhenanelectrical
powerfailureoccurswillcontinue
tooperatenormally.Yourovenmay
beusedduringanelectricalpower
outagebycarefullyfollowingthe
stepsbelow:
4. Removethebroilerpan.
Tolightthe ovenpilotduring an
electricalpoweroutage:
1. BesureOVENTEMPknobisin
theOFFposition.
2. Openboththeovenandbroiler
doorsandwait5 minutestoallow
anypilotgastodissipate.
3. Unplugtherangefromthewall
outlet,tumoffthecircuitbreaker,
orremovethefusetoavoidaccidenti
ignitionoftheovenif electricpower
isrestoredwhileyouarelighting
thepilot.
5. Locatetheovenpilotassembly
bylookingintothebroileropening.
Thepilotisatthebackofthe
broilercompartment,ontheright
sideoftheburner.
Note:Theovenmustbeat room
temperaturebeforeyoushould
attempttolighttheovenpilot
manually.
6. TurntheOVENTEMPknobto
thedesiredtemperaturesetting.
7. Lightthepilotwithamatchand
withdrawyourarmimmediately
becausetheovenburnermaylight
inaslittleas20 seconds.
8. Replacethebroilerpanand
closetheovenandbroilerdoors.
Note:Itisnecessaryto lightthe
pilotmanuallyeachtimetheoven
isusedduringapoweroutage.
AirAdjtiment
Anairadjustmentshutterforthe
ovenburnerregulatestheflowofair
totheflame.You’llfindtheshutter
againstthebackwallbehindthe
broilerdrawer.Toreachit, remove
theovenbottom(page16)andthe
burnerbaffle.

Toadjust the flowofair, loosen
thePhillipsheadscrewandrotate
theshuttertoallowmoreorlessair
intotheburnertubeasneeded.
Whenthe right amountofair
flowsintothe burner, theflame
shouldbesteady,withapproximately
I/2°blue
cones, andshouldnot
extendoutoverthebaffleedges.

TheOVENTEMPcontrolis
locatedatthecenterofthecontrol
panelonthefrontoftherange.
Simplyturntheknobtothedesired
cookingtemperatures,whichare
markedin25”F.incrementsonthe
dial.Itwillnormallytake30to60
secondsbeforetheflamecomeson.
Aftertheovenreachestheselected
temperature,theovenburnercycles—
offcompletely,thenonwithafill
flame-to keeptheoventemperature
controlled.

shelfsupports,theywillstopbefore ~
comingcompletelyoutoftheovenand

Whenplacingcookwareona shelf,
pulltheshelfouttothe “stop”
position.Placethecookwareon
theshelf,thenslidetheshelfback
intotheoven.Thiswilleliminate
reachingintothehotoven.
Toremovetheshelvesfromthe
oven,pullthemtowardyou,tilt
frontendupwardandpullthemout.
Toreplace,placeshelfonshelf
supportwithstop-locks(curved
extensionundershelf)facingupand
towardrearofoven.Tiltupfront
andpushshelftowardbackofoven
untilitgoespast“stop”onoven
wall.Thenlowerfrontofshelfand
pushitallthewayback.

positionsforcookingaresuggested
onBakingandRoastingpages.
OvenVent
Yourovenisventedthroughaduct
attherearoftherange.Do not
blocktheopeningofthisduct—itis
importantthattheflowofhotair
fromtheovenandfreshairtothe
ovenburnerbeuninterrupted.
Avoidtouchingtheventopenings
or nearbysurfacesduringovenor
broileropemtions-theymaybehot.
