OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This curling appliance is intended for house-
hold use. Use on Alternating Current (50/60
hertz) only. This appliance has a polarized plug
(one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
DUAL VOLTAGE
This curling wand has dual voltage. It will
automatically adjust to the proper voltage. Use
an adapter plug with correct configuration
prior to use in outlet.
GETTING STARTED
The wand’s 25 temperature settings and Instant
Heat technology provide styling versatility for
all hair types. If you have fine hair, a low tem-
perature will provide the best results. If you
have thick, wavy or hard-to-curl hair, keep the
heat setting on high. You can vary the iron’s
temperature according to your particular need!
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut
that’s well maintained. Always treat hair well
with superior quality shampoos, conditioners,
and finishing products.
MULTI-LAYER TECHNOLOGY
The barrel of your curling wand has a multi-
layer coating of chromium, nickel, copper,
nickel and steel that retains heat and provides
even-heat distribution. The chromium surface
smoothes and protects hair.
TO CURL HAIR
For best results, use a light styling product
before blow-drying hair.
1. Model CD777CS – Creates smaller, beachy
waves and curls. Take a ½-in. to a 1-in.-wide
section of hair, starting 2 inches from the scalp.
Model CD778CS – Creates voluminous, soft
waves and beachy curls. Take a 1-in.-wide
section of hair, starting 2 inches from the scalp.
2. Wind the section of hair
around the thicker portion of
the barrel toward the cool tip.
3. Hold the end of the hair in
place at the cool tip for 5 to 8
seconds, depending on hair type, and then
release. No clamp allows you to easily curl hair
without kinks. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less
hair. For loose, free-flowing curls, roll more hair.
To set the curl, do not comb or brush hair until
it cools.
4. Repeat process on additional sections of
hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.
Some experience is necessary when learning
to use this curling wand. After using several
times, you will learn the ideal way to curl and
style your hair.
5. To achieve faster styling results, these units
feature a unique, optional Turbo Heat
®
burst. Press the Turbo button to deliver up
to 20˚C/36˚F more heat for maximum styling
performance.
