Oven Controls
Setting Bake
Use the bake feature whenever the recipe calls for baking using
normal temperatures. The convection fan will turn on and stay
on to allow the oven to preheat faster. When the set tempera-
ture is reached the fan will turn off and reminder tone will sound
indicating when to place the food in the oven. The oven will
continue cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature for
consistent baking.
Bake may be set for any oven temperature between 170°F
(77°C) to 550°F (288°C).
To set Bake for oven temperature of 425°F (218°C):
1. Press Bake.

Radiant bake rack positions
Fully preheat the oven before baking items like cookies,
biscuits and breads. Do not open oven door too often.
Doing so will reduce the oven temperature and may
increase cooking time.
When using any single rack, position the rack so that the
food is in the center of the oven.
For best results when baking cakes using 2 oven racks,
place racks in positions 2 and 4.
When baking using 2 oven racks, position bakeware as
shown in Figure 15. Allow at least 2 inches (5 cm) of space
between bakeware for proper air circulation.
Dark or dull pans absorb more heat than shiny bakeware,
resulting in dark or overbrowning of foods. It may be
necessary to reduce the oven temperature or cook time to
prevent overbrowning of some foods. Dark pans are recom-
mended for pies. Shiny pans are recommended for cakes,
cookies and muffins.
For batter and dough-based baked goods such as cakes,
pastries, and breads, use the regular bake function for best
results.

Setting Convec Bake
The convection function uses a fan to circulate the oven's heat
uniformly and continuously around the oven (Figure 16). This
improved heat distribution allows for fast, even cooking and
browning results. It also gives better baking results when using
two oven racks at the same time.
Figure 16: Air circulation in the convection function
Because most food items will cook faster and more evenly with
the convection feature, it is advisable to reduce recipe's recom-
mended temperature by 25 ° for best results. Follow the recipe's
instructions using the minimum recommended cook time.
Benefits of the convection bake feature:
Foods may cook up to 25% faster, saving time and energy.
Multiple rack baking.
Convec Bake may be set for any oven temperature between
170°F (77°C) to 550°F (288°C).

350°F (177°C):
1. Press Convec Bake.
2. Press, ST_T.
To cancel Convec Bake at any time press STOP.
