WARRANTY PERIOD
Any warrantedpartwhichisnotscheduledfor
replacementas requiredmaintenance, orwhichis
scheduledonlyfor regularinspectionto theeffect
of "repairor replaceas necessary"shallbe
warrantedfor the warrantypedod.Anywarranted
partwhichisscheduledfor replacementas
requiredmaintenanceshallbe warrantedfor the
peded.oftimeup tothe first scheduled
replacementpointforthatpart.
e DIAGNOSIS
The ownershallnotbecharged fbrdiagnostic
labor,whichleadstothe determinationthat a
warrantedpart isdefective,ifthediagnosticwork
isperformedat Sears.
4. CONSEQUEN_ALDAMAGES
The enginemanufacturerisliablefordamagesto
the enginecomponentscausedbythe failure ofa
warrantedpartstillunderwarranty.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
1. Failurescausedbyabuse,neglect,or improper
maintenance.
2. Add-onormodifiedparts.The useofadd-onor
modified padscan be groundsfordisallowinga
warrantyclaim.The enginemanufacturerisnot
liabletocoverfailures ofwarrantedpartscaused
bythe use ofadd-onormodifiedpads.
3. Any indirectorconsequentialdamagesthat may
resultfrom thefailure or malfunctionoftheSears
product.Somestatesdo notallowtheexclusionor
limitationofconsequentialdamagessothese
limitationsmay notapplytoyou.
4. Normalservicerequirementsarisingdudngthe
warrantyperiodsuchas carburetororignition
adjustment,cleaning,normalwear, lubrication,
sparkplugs,filters,starterropes,etc.
5. Normalserviceworkoverand abovetherepairor
replacementofdefectivepads.

Warrantyclaimsmay be submittedon severaldifferent

Warrantyclaims mustbe receivedat Seers within60
daysofthe date of repairnotedonthe claim,

ServiceCanters.Forthe addressofa ServiceCenter
nearyoucall Sears at 1-800-473-7247, (24 hours,7

MAINTENANCE, REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR OF
EMISSION RELATED PARTS
Sears replacementpads mustbeused inthe
performanceofany warrantymaintenanceor repairs
on emission-relatedpads and willbe providedwithout
chargedudngthe warrantyperiod.
EMISSION CONTROL WARRANTY PARTS LIST
Sears'warrantyincludesthe followingpads (unless
saidpad was scheduledforreplacementas required
maintenance):Air Filter,Fuel Filter,Carburetorand
internalpads, ChokeMechanism,IntakeManifold,
J
Spark Plug,Flywheel,IgnitionModule.
MAINTENANCE STATEMENTS
Follow normal maintenance service, recommended fuel
mixture (where applicable), lubrication, operation and
storage of the product as explained in the Operator's
Manual. The owner shall not be charged for diagnostic
labor, which leads to the determination that a
warranted part is defective, if the diagnostic work is
performed at Sears.
