TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE
Refrigerator does not
operate.
Not plugged in.
The circuit breaker tripped or blown fuse.
Refrigerator does not
cool.
The refrigerator temperature control is set at “0”
Compressor turns on
and o frequently.
Condenser coil at the back of the uni
t is dirty.
The room temperature is hotter than normal.
A large amount of food has been adde d to the refrigerator.
The door is open too o en.
The door is not closed completely.
The temperature control is not set correctly.
The door g
asket doe s not seal properly.
The refrigerator doe s not have the correct clearances. (4” to both
sides and back of unit)
The light does not work. The home circuit breaker or fuse has tripped.
The refrigerator is unplugged.
The bulb has b
urned out (see the maintenance section for the re-
placement procedure).
Vibrations. Check to assure that the refrigerator is level.
The refrigerato r seems
to make too much
noise .
The rattling noise may come from the flo w of the refri
gerant,
which is normal.
As each cycle ends, you may hear gurgling sounds caused by the
flow of refrigerant in your refrigerator.
Contraction and expansion of the inside walls may cause popping
and crackling no ises.
The refrigerator is not le vel.

The doors were reversed and not properly installed.
