IMPORTANT: Vent-free heaters add moisture
to the air. Although this is benecial, installing
heater in rooms without enough ventilation air
may cause mildew to form too much moisture.
See Air for Combustion and Ventilation, pages
7 and 8.
CHECK GAS TYPE
Be sure your gas supply is right for your heat-
er. Otherwise, call dealer where you bought
the heater for proper type heater.
CLEARANCES TO
COMBUSTIBLES
WARNING: You must main-
tain the minimum clearances. If
you can, provide greater clear-
ances from oor, ceiling, and
adjoining wall. Measure from
outermost point of heater.
This heater is designed to sit directly on the
oor or on a mantel base.
IMPORTANT: You must maintain minimum
wall and ceiling clearances during installation.
The minimum clearances are shown in Figure
6. Measure from outermost point of heater.
If installed on carpeting or other combustible
material (other than wood) a oor protector
made of metal or wood shall extend the full
width and depth of the appliance.

Clearances
A. Clearances from outermost point of heater
to any combustible side wall should not be
less than 12".
B. Clearances from the heater to the ceiling
should not be less than 48".
C. Clearance from heater to back wall should
not be less than 6".
