HOW TO PREPARE THE ENGINE
ENGINE DOES NOT CONTAIN
OIL OR GASOLINE
See the engine manufacturer's instructions for
the type of gasoline and oil to use. Before you
use the unit,read the information on safety, op-
eration, maintenance, and storage.
WARNING: Follow the engine
manufacturer's Instructions for
the type of gseollne and oll to
use. Always use a safety gaso-
line contelner. Do not smoke
when adding gasoline to the en-
gine. When Inside an enclosurs,
do not fill with gseollne. Before
you add gasoline, stop the
angina. Let the engine cool for
several minutes.
IMPORTANT: This unit Is equipped with an
Internal oombusUon snglne and must not
be used on or near any unlmprovad forest-
covered, brush- covered or grass- covered
land unless the engine's exhaust system is
equipped with • spark errester meeUng
applicable local or state iaws (if any). If a
iperk arrseter Is used, It must be main-
telned In effective working order by the op-
orator.
In the State of California the above Is re-
qulrad by law (Sactlon 4442 of the Califor-
nia Public Rseourcse Cede). Other states
may have slmiler laws. Federal laws apply
on federal lands. See an Authorized Ser-
vice Center for a spark errseter for the
muffler.
FINAL ASSEMBLY
Before you use the mower, check the assem-
bly ofthe wheels, the handle, and the controls.
Make sure all the fasteners are tig_. Make
sure the throttle €ontrol and the engine stople-
ver work correctly.
