Charging a Battery
BLACK+DECKER chargers are designed to charge
BLACK+DECKER battery packs.
Note: To ensure maximum performance and life of lithium
ion battery packs:
u Charge the battery pack fully before rst use.
u Recharge discharged batteries as soon as possible
after every use.
u Do not discharge batteries fully.
The supplied charger offers three possible ways to charge
your battery.
1. Standard cup charging only
2. Wall mounted cup charging
3. Wall mounted suspended charging
1. Standard cup charging (Fig. A)
u Plug the charger (5) into an appropriate outlet before
inserting the battery pack (4).
u Insert the battery pack into the cup charger.
u When using the the cup charger a green LED will ash
indicating that the battery is being charged.
u The completion of charge is indicated by the green LED
remaining on continuously. The pack is fully charged
and may be used at this time or left on the charger.
u The cup charger can be inserted into the charging station
(5a) as shown in gure A.
2. Wall mounted battery charging
u Mark the location of the charging station (5a) screw holes
on the wall (within reach of an electrical outlet) for
charging the vacuum while it is on the charging station.
u Fix the charging station (5a) to the wall using
appropriate screws and plugs for the type of wall, and
weight of the appliance.
u Install the cup charger (5) into the charging station (5a).
Ensure it is locked into place before proceeding.
