9. Light Kit Assembly (Optional). (cont.)
To attach light kit fitter to motor assembly,
align holes in switch housing cap with holes
in switch housing and re-insert 3 screws
previously removed. (Note: Make sure to align
gap on edge of switch housing cap with
reverse switch on switch housing for a correct
fit.) Secure all screws with a Phillips
screwdriver.
Install 3 medium base 6.5 watt LED bulbs
(included).
IMPORTANT: When you need to replace
bulbs, please allow bulbs and glass shade to
cool down before touching them.
Place rubber washer (that was previously
removed) inside glass shade over center
hole. Raise glass shade in order to guide
pull chains through corresponding holes in
glass shade. (Be sure pull chain for fan
operation will not rub against bulbs during
fan operation.) Align hole in center of glass
shade with threaded rod on light kit fitter
and push up gently until threaded rod
comes through hole. Replace hex nut on
threaded rod. Tighten hex nut but DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN hex nut as glass may crack or
break.
Align hole in center of finial plate with
threaded rod, allowing pull chains to come
through corresponding holes in finial plate,
and push up. Thread center pull chain
through hole in finial. Screw finial onto
threaded rod to secure glass shade to light kit
fitter. Do NOT overtighten finial as glass may
crack or break.
If you wish to use your fan WITHOUT the light
kit, remove hex nut and lock washer from
threaded rod at top of light kit fitter. Unscrew
switch housing cap to remove it from the light
kit fitter. Then, gently feed BLACK and WHITE
wires from light kit fitter (one at a time)
through hole in middle of switch housing cap.
