To Maintain
Grease Filters
The efficiency of your hood depends on clean fil-
ters. Frequency of cleaning depends on the type of
cooking you do. BUT GREASE FILTERS SHOULD
BE CLEANED AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH.
NEVER OPERATE THE HOOD WITHOUT THE
FILTERS IN PLACE.
To remove: Grasp the knob located on the end of
the filter. Push it to the rear and downward in one
motion.
To clean: Soak and then agitate in a hot detergent
solution. Light brushing may be used to remove
imbedded soil. Rinse, shake and remove moisture
before replacing.
With careful handling, the filters will last for years.
If replacement becomes necessary, order part
number WB2X2189 from your dealer.
To replace: Put the filter rim in rear frame slot
against the spring. Push toward the rear and up.
Then, allow the filter to move forward to lock into
position in the frame.

60 WATTS.
. Reinstall Lamp Cover and Lamp Cover retaining
screws.
Before You Call for Service
If the fan does not operate when the switch is
on, check the hood power supply at the house-
-
hold distribution panel. A fuse may be blown or
a circuit breaker tripped.
If the fan fails to circulate air, possible causes
such as the fan blade striking the hood shell or
excessively soiled filter should be checked and
corrected before using the hood again.
If the fan operates but moves air slower than
normal, check to be sure the filters are clean. If
that does not correct the problem, call for
service.
If the fan keeps going off and on, the motor is
probably overheating and turning itself off. This
can be harmful to the motor. Check to be sure
the filters are clean. If off and on cycling con-
tinues, call for service.
