Installing the cooktop
Feed the appliance power cord down
through the countertop cut-out.
Center the cooktop in the cut-out.
Connect the cooktop to the power
supply (see “Installation – Electrical
connection”).
Connect the cooktop to the gas sup-
ply (see “Installation – Gas connec-
tion”).
Secure the cooktop (see “Installation
– Securing the cooktop”).
Check that the cooktop works (see
“Installation – Functional check”).
Seal the remaining gap with a sili-
cone sealant that is heat-resistant to
at least 320°F (160°C).
Unsuitable sealant can damage nat-
ural stone.
For natural stone countertops and
natural stone tiles, only use silicone
sealant that is specially formulated
for natural stone.
Please follow the manufacturer’s in-
structions.
Checking for proper function
After installing the cooktop, ignite all
burners to check that they are operat-
ing correctly:
- The flame must not go out on the
lowest setting, or when the control is
turned quickly from the highest to the
lowest setting.
- On the highest setting, the flame
must have a distinctive and visible
core.
