canbe clearedofexcessfuelwiththe
following procedure:
° Activatethefast idlelock.
Startingcouldrequiremanypullsde-

• Cutwoodonly.Do notcutmetal,plas-
tics,masonry, non-woodbuildingma-
terials,etc.
• Stopthesaw ifthechainstrikesa for-
eignobject. Inspectthe sawand re-
pairpartsas necessary.
• Keep thechainoutofdirtandsand.
Evena smallamountofdirtwillquick-
lydulla chainand increasethepossi-
bilityofkickback.
Practicecuttingafew smalllogsusing

Squeezethe throttletriggerandal-
low theenginetoreachfull speed
beforecutting.
• Begincuttingwiththesawframe
againstthe log.
• Keepthe engineat fullspeedthe
entiretime youare cutting.
• Allowthe chaintocut for you.Exert
onlylightdownwardpressure.
° Releasethethrottletdggeras soon
as thecutiscompleted,allowingthe
engineto idle. Ifyou runthesaw at
full throttlewithouta cuttingload,
unnecessarywearcan occur.
• Toavoidlosingcontrolwhencutis
complete,donotputpressureon
sawat end ofcut.
• Stoptheengine beforesetting the
saw down.
