#1 How to use HDMI ARC on Samsung Smart TV?

HDMI is a common connector for sound and video. Sound devices and projectors all use this standard. For a better sound experience, you can use an HDMI cable to direct the sound from your Smart TV to sound device. ARC (Audio Return Channel) is a special function of HDMI high-speed certified cables via which the sound can also be sent back to the transmitter.

How to connect an HDMI cable
Follow the steps below to connect your Smart TV to your speaker:



Step 1. Prepare an HDMI cable.

Step 2. Connect the cable to the TV's HDMI IN (ARC).

Step 3. Connect to the HDMI OUT (TV-ARC) port of the speaker that you want to connect.

Step 4. Turn the speakers on that are connected to the TV.

Step 5. The TV sound will be played through your external speakers.

Anynet + (HDMI CEC) is activated in the factory for Samsung Soundbar and Home Cinema System. If your device is other than Samsung Soundbar or Home Cinema System, you need to make sure that the Anynet + (HDMI-CEC) function is activated on your Smart TV.



For T/Q, R/Q, N/Q, and M/Q series smart TVs (from 2017)
Home> Settings> General> External device management> Anynet + (HDMI CEC)

For K series Smart TV (2016)
Home> Settings> System> Expert settings> Anynet + (HDMI-CEC)

For Smart TV up to the J series (2015)
Menu> System> Anynet + (HDMI-CEC)

Note:

Anynet + (HDMI-CEC) function must be enabled on the smart TV to use eARC.
If using an unauthorized cable, an error may occur.
The HDMI port will be labeled ARC on the back of the TV or One Connect Box.
Most One Connect Boxes have an HDMI-ARC port (it is usually the third HDMI port).

#2 What to do if Samsung TV shows WPS error?

Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is a feature supplied with many routers. It is designed to make the process of connecting to a secure wireless network from a computer or any other device easily.

This steps will help you check your equipment to solve this issue:

1 Check in your router its WPS button
Commonly, the WPS button is found at the back side of the router. Please check the router's user manual on where to find it.

Using WPS network connection in your Samsung TV
There are times that when you search for available Wifi networks and your TV cannot find anything. You will be left with an option to use the WPS connection method. Go to the network type in your TV settings to set it up.

Follow the bellow steps to set up a WPS connection:

Press the Home Button icon on your remote control.
Select Settings > General > Network.
Open Netwrok Settings > Network Type.
Select Wireless > Wireless Connections.
Scroll Down > press Use WPS.
Press the WPS button on your wireless router to establish a connection.
Once a successful connection is made, press ok.
Note: Most routers have a LED light that flashes while the connection is establishing.

If the WPS connection fails, try the following steps:

Make sure that the router's WPS feature is enabled.
Move the router closer to the TV.


How to reset the TV?
Settings> General> Reset.

You can restore all TV settings to the factory defaults.

1. Select Reset. The security PIN entry window appears.

2. Enter the security PIN, and then select Reset. All settings are then reset. The TV turns off and on again automatically and displays the Initial Setup screen.
